>October 14 wasn’t the first time Carolyn Marvin put herself in front of an autonomous delivery robot. It had become, since the wheeled little food vessels were unleashed upon certain parts of Philadelphia, a habit for the 78-year-old: standing in front of one of the robots when she encountered it rolling on the sidewalk, delaying it for a few minutes from delivering its precious lunchtime cargo.

Okay? What rights does she think the robot has? And why does she not care about the rights of the robots owners?
>>
what about the rights of the customers to receive hot food?
>>
She's a lunch time rowdy
>>
It's not a discussion of rights, it's hijacking private property.

>>545395446
It depends on if the robots are hindu

Doesn't matter, she clearly has more. Which is to say, if it has zero, and she only has one...

She didn't take the food, she merely delayed its delivery. I'm still waiting to see what the actual charge is.

Yes.

The robot doesn't have rights, the owner of it does, and the person who requested their service does. In principle, this isn't different than standing in front of a food delivery vehicle to delay it on purpose, for which, if police were called about it, she would be arrested too.

so all of those low wage food delivery gig drivers are her students

This is the non-retard take. If someone delayed me finishing a delivery when I was a pizza guy, they're ruining the quality of the food, and preventing both myself (irrelevant in this case--automatons don't get paid) and the restaurant from making more money.
