The cold probably froze parts of the fuel and other parts of liquids in the engine, such as oil-things which are also a liquid.

So, it was Nature’s fault, and the white man, despite being from the most intelligent of the human races, the white race, was kind of stupid for not noticing that these liquids into the jet might freeze before and during the flight due to the cold present in the climate/weather.

Sad. R.I.P. white race man pilot.

They misjudged. By this time there was a small amount of fuel. They probably only had just enough to make it because of weight issues. Less fuel freezes faster.

horizontal stabiliser was missing at the time of impact. Could have been the cause of the crash if it somehow broke off in the storm, or it could have torn off during the dive. It if tore off during the dive it should be near the crashsite, otherwise it should be along the flight path.
https://aerospaceglobalnews.com/news/learjet-60-crash-horizontal-stabiliser-explained/
>The reported turbulence and the pilot’s mention of icing to air traffic control could have resulted in a weather related upset that was unrelated to the missing stabiliser. What we do know is that the aircraft plummeted to the ground very fast, with Flightradar data suggesting speeds of more than 32,000 feet per minute at its peak. Such extreme speeds could have resulted in a separation of the horizontal stabiliser on descent.
>Had the horizontal stabiliser failed, detached or otherwise malfunctioned in flight, a sudden nose down dive would be a likely outcome, but it doesn’t necessarily explain why this accident occured. Should this be the case, there is a chance investigators will find this part of the aircraft away from the crash site, somewhere along the flight path.

Lmao listen to the audio, he froze up and was praying, she had to yell at him to fly the plane
>>
>>545409018
Personally I think the plane got shot down. AA defenses all over Mar-a-lago and word of a serious threat. Next day a plane nosedives into the ground missing part of its tail. You don't have to be a genius to figure it out.
>>
>>545407061
Wow we really needed another thread about this. Thanks for being such a quality poster you retarded fucking monkey.
>>
>>545409018
i think its just video compression
there are two videos
the other from further away, it suffers less from those compression-skips and has the tail wings
i think theydve also heard and reported it, and that it ripping off would also have sent the plane spiralling along some axis

ostensibly, it was a mint condition plane as it hit the ground
it was just too fast going the wrong way

wings freeze up, thats weight and loss of controls
the plane starts to fall
by the time it unfreezes, youre already going too fast towards earth to recover

hence the pilot already praying, since he knows its over
and he wont care about the rookie foid still reporting protocol instead of casting her prayers

was the de-icer sabotaged?
does that plane not have a de-icer?
what's it really called?
i dont fly planes, but i understand physics

>>

Be a man for the first time in your life and own being incompetent miggers
>>
>>545409050
The co-pilot is the one responsible for checking the weather conditions. Unfortunately, for that particular type of jet, once the engines get iced up and you're in free fall, it's beyond recovery. The pilot knew this.
>>
>>545408462
>Less fuel freezes faster.

Yeah. And this happens way more in small jets and its small wings (where the fuel stays) than it happens in big planes and its big wings (where the fuel stays), due to the proximity of the metal wings to the fuel and to the cold of the external environment. Larger portions of fuel, such as the present in big planes with big wings, are more difficult to freeze that way.
>>
>>545409447
>once the engines get iced up
do engines really ice up?
id imagine its warmth from operating constantly melts ice away
>>
>>545409287
>does that plane not have a de-icer?
It used engine bleed air (hot air from combustion) routed through tubes at the leading edge of the wings. De-icer was probably working. Leading edges are polished so it's harder for ice to stick to them as well.
>>
>>545409320
The cold didn't freeze the fucking fuel or oil. That anon is a fucking retard. Fuel lines can freeze up if they aren't properly maintained abd there is water in the lines.

So, fuel (and oil) freezes or not?
Any genius here already tested this scientific experience in your home’s freezer?
>>
>>545409018
I think the stabs were still on there, if not I'd lean toward over speed tearing them off. They wanted to increase altitude to get out of the turbulent air, but the reason it was getting so bad is there was a storm form that had an air pressure change as they went through and rolled the plane left and put them in a nose dive. Probably could have saved it if they pulled throttle and pulled up, but who knows for sure. There was definitely icing which kills control authority and lowers stall speed.

The stabilizer is missing, but it's more likely that it broke off during the high speed nose dive, rather than being the cause of the dive. It certainly ended any chance of recovering from the dive, though.
The plane was already icing and they turned and flew directly through a storm cell.
>>
>>545409723
>Leading edges are polished so it's harder for ice to stick to them as well.
i think thats also done to cut fuel costs

The plane stalled.
I'm not a pilot to be able to tell why, but that's clearly what happened.
He tried to go up at some speed and he went beyond the aerodynamic ceiling, thus making the plane lose air resistance. Then freefall and plane started losing pieces on the way down, no way to recover from that.

Filgueiras' mother said she "always knew" that a plane would "take her far away from me."

The pilot was flying to the Bahamas when the plane plummeted 20,000 feet per minute into the ground.

"I wanted her to live her dream, but I knew her dream would be the thing that took her away from me," her mother told the New York Post.

"I knew a plane would take her away from me. I always knew that, but I was so proud of her. I know she was living her dream."

Just 10 minutes before the crash, Filgueiras reportedly sent a text to her boyfriend: "I'm in turbulence, I'm icing up."

The 20-year-old young woman obtained her pilot's license in high school. Her stepfather says she had 1,300 hours of experience.

In a social media post, Filgueiras boasted about how young she was as a pilot alongside her boyfriend.

"How often do you see 2 pilots under 21 with a commercial license, multi-engine, instrument, CFI/CFI-I," she said.

I still suspect that, due to the framerate and low resolution, it merely looks as though the plane has lost its stabiliser.
The images even blend into one another in places.
Iceing is a sufficient explanation, really. Wouldn't a pilot also notice a missing stabiliser? Wouldn't that have a significant impact?
If they'd noticed it, it would have been part of their communication with ATC.

None required, nowadays. The vast majority of men over 40 are turbo simps and irredeemable and the sooner they all die, the better for humanity, even if it means dropping my country to majority non-white it means things will actually be done about both the non-white and the female problems.

I know I have a thesis that says that women usually panicks and start screaming as a remnant of natural defenses. Allow me to explain.

In the natural world, animals rely on their natural behavior to grant their safety, on mammals (we) that defense is provided by an alfa which is the stronger member of the group and can provide that defense when needed, while women usually are protected they have this natural behavior, animal reflex, of screaming in order to amplify their need for help. That's why in every dangerous situation involving violence you will hear a woman screaming, she is not doing it cause she lost control, they do it cause just like men are naturally inclined to focus and try to solve an issue, women are naturally inclined to believe they will be protected and in order to warn the whole group that danger is near, they scream.

>>
>>545414633
>I still suspect that, due to the framerate and low resolution
No. They lost a stabilizer.
>Iceing is a sufficient explanation
It's not. Even with as retarded as the pilots were, they should have leveled off and recovered.
>Wouldn't a pilot also notice a missing stabiliser?
Yes, after you decrease Angle of Attack you have greater airspeed and you can level off. If you pull up and the airplane isn't responsive, it's obvious you lost your stabilizer. You are probably going to get a "stabilizer fail" message on the MFD.
>If they'd noticed it, it would have been part of their communication with ATC.
The foid was so stupid she probably never realized it was missing. Pilot probably realized how fucked he was and started praying. Then impact. Every piece of evidence we have (which isn't a lot) indicates a missing stabilizer. Only question is whether the stall and nosedive caused it or the missing stabilizer caused the nosedive.

Where ATC would relay, you are fucked. Best they could do is try to steer it to water so when you crash you don’t injure anyone on the ground. That’s probably the best they could do, you’re falling nose down 22000 feet a minute. It’s over, stabilizer is stuck in downward position.
>>
>>545415193
>Is there a way to parachute out of plane at this speed?
It's totally possible to parachute out of an airplane at or near Mach speed. Just open the crew service door which is designed to open in an environment where the cabin is pressurized. Opening the service door is pretty easy. From there, you just calmly jump out of the plane. For a plane with engines mounted near the empennage on nacelles, you don't have to worry about the engine intakes. Just deploy the thrust reversers to redirect thrust and you should be safe. Not sure why this isn't done more often.
>>
>>545415527
You would need to move ass falling at 22,000 feet a minute. Probably not enough time. Abandon ship is done in naval application.

>The stabilizer caused the complete nose dive.
Eh. Maybe. What we know from the ATC audio is they tried to climb, their wings were iced up, and they failed to climb. This indicates they tried to climb too fast or with too great an AoA and stalled. If their speed was too great, the recovery attempt would have sheared off the stabilizer. To me, this is the most probable scenario. If it was just a normal climb, I don't know why the stabilizer would have chosen that particular time to fail.

I'm not even a pilot and know not to fly into a thunderstorm. Especially in a small ass private jet. The real question is why did the pilot make this decision?
>>
>>545415203
Nah, I think it was icing, they were in icing conditions for 10 minutes, and then as soon as they start climbing they stall out, typical of a plane especially one on auto pilot that has gotten iced up and has slowly drifted it angle of attack to max, they then tried to climb to 37000 feet but by trying to climb and increase that angle of attack that little bit further puts them into a stall. however since they were also entering an updraft the planes nose dropped faster than they were aniticipating and in the over speed the overweighed with ice horizontal stab probably broke off.

I think they just didn't recover fast enough once the nose dropped.

He could request a deep mechanical inspection if he saw something off before taking off. He also flew close an airport before crashing yet did nothing until the very last seconds when there was nothing to do against it.

Pilot is at fault here.
>>
>>545416209
Sounds about right.
>>
>>545416699
My point is you can't visually inspect the mounting hardware. A pilot can look at the stabilizer, but he can't see inside for mechanical problems that may exist. The control can function, but if a mounting bolt has microfractures and is about to give, no pilot can detect that.
>>
>>545411434
The aircraft has heat exchangers. Essentially, the warm engine oil warms the fuel and the cold fuel heats the oil. Even when the outside air temperature is -50C, the fuel is maintained much higher because of this system.

If he saw some decalibration on the controls or lost of pressure in the systems for any unknown reason while midflight he could have landed and have it investigated. Again the airport was really close of the crash site yet he didn't send a single request for redirection.

It isn't a bad career path, but it isn't for morons. And quality maintenance is expensive. You are right though. A lot of aviation is pilot driven and they are glad to send their planes to Mexico for C-checks to save money and then wonder why their planes are broken and can't be released for service when they get back. You can't fix airplanes with unskilled labor and that seems to be all companies are willing to pay for.

Lol. It wasn't a maintenance error. You wouldn't believe the kind of stresses these airplanes can take even with substandard maintenance. If they had the radar pointed up +1 or +2 degrees to only paint the cells penetrating above their altitude, then descended into the growing cell, it wouldn't appear on their radar until a minute or less before "impact".

Even if they tilted the radar down -.5 or -1 degrees to see the path below the airplane, the cell was growing rapidly inside of 5-6 minutes before they flew into it. When they were looking strategically for where to deviate around the side of the larger rain system, this cell wouldn't have appeared yet.

In shitty old out of date Learjet radars it can be very difficult, and there often isn't color gradients, to differentiate general rain from cell cores. Modern radars have more sophisticated algorithms to characterize the precipitation and turbulence in the cells, and implement automatic tilt and broader scan angles to capture weather above and below into a composite image. Discount radars installed in cheap old jets paints green and not green.

Using radar in dynamic weather environments for tactical navigation around storms isn't in the purview of a 1300 hour pilot with a few months in the airplane. It takes years to experience the various situations where radar tilt selection and interpretation plays a critical role in getting an accurate picture of cells during descent or climb. The older radars simply scan a narrow slice, so they require interpretation of the return images depending on angle, altitude and winds aloft around the cell.

The 55 year old el Capitan should've known better. His fault for fucking it up. A new-hire with 1300 total time is a student, not responsible for the fuckup of Captain Greg The Egg.

jet fuel doesn't freeze any more or less from the presence of icing conditions. and won't typically gel or freeze down to -60 anyway. FBOs add prist to the fuel if it isn't already mixed in.

>>
>>545407718
They flew into a high turbulence heavy icing situation in a plane that's notorious for being sensitive to icing, then proceeded to not call an emergency to take another vector out of the weather conditions and instead flew directly into a massive cell, encountered precipitation which instantly accumulated all over their wings, caused a permanent stall condition and they went straight in. I don't know what the fuck that pilot was thinking when he passed on what had to have been a dozen points where a reasonable pilot would have stopped and considered the possibility of an icing induced stall in their near future. It's beyond baffling that they flew directly into the heart of a massive thunderstorm that everyone knew was there. And in a fucking learjet no less.
