>>545417015Turn the power off at the breaker or unplug it if you can then unscrew the cover where the power line goes into the unit, you probably have a loose wire under there. If you clean it up or cut it back you should be able to put a new wire nut on it. If you don't see anything under there that looks burnt and it's definitely coming from your disposal then just get a new one installed.

They aren't expensive but you'll spend another two or three hundred getting it installed.If you have an insinkerator you could try to DIY, if you have one that is plugged in under your sink it's pretty easy to get a new one in there, just make sure you buy a new plug because getting the old one out to reuse it is a bitch.
