Copilots are not supposed to sit there, talk to ATC, and do nothing else. Copilots are not passengers in a vehicle who can sit in the cockpit and comfortably text their boyfriends while their plane is flying around. Copilots work with the pilot and develop strategies to avoid turbulence and ice, they man the same controls as the pilot, and they have to be actively communicating with the pilot.It's pretty clear the instagram whore did none of that, thought ice and turbulence were manageable and OK, and was busy scrolling on tiktok the entire time.
