The funniest thing about the prequels that everyone misses is if Obi-Wan and Padmé (but especially Obi-Wan) had just trusted and supported Anakin, then literally everything would’ve turned out good for everybody. Obi-Wan would’ve been able to have Anakin spare or recruit the rest of the Jedi, Anakin would’ve been able to save Padmé, Anakin would’ve overthrown Darth Sidious and run the empire in his stead, Anakin would’ve then outlawed ended the war, outlawed slavery, improved the lives of the poor who are shown even on planets like Coruscant and Naboo and brought peace, law, and order to the galaxy and absolutely none of the horrible evil shit that Vader or Palpatine were later retconned to have done later should’ve happened because Anakin canonically only went full sith after being betrayed by Obi-Wan and Padme and then being psychologically and physically tortured by Palpatine and his new armor, which he only needed because Obi-Wan maimed him. And this would make perfect sense given all the lessons Qui-Gon Jinn gave to Obi-Wan, which he subsequently ignored, and the fact that Obi-Wan was able to consciously violate Jedi principles and Republican law when he sent Anakin to sky on Palpatine, allowed Palpatine to consolidate power after his term, and endorsed Mace Windu assassinating Palpatine without standing trial. Instead, Obi-Wan tried to kill his friend and mentee for an abstract ideal of a democracy which had long already ended in a de facto dictatorship he supported and Jedi ideals he literally said in both previous episodes could be broken and Padmé abandoned Anakin even after she prodded him by suggesting they were on the wrong side and only cared about being able to live and retire to Naboo with their child.
