The sun is absolutely whiter. Anyone who's been alive for more than 20 years will know it. It also burns more than it used to, having a noticeable effect on plants that can't tolerate as much such as they used to. Anyone that's grown plants for more than 20 years will also notice this. My personal theory is that it's because of the weakening magnetosphere, which is because of the shifting poles. It's causing a shift in color and allowing more radiation though.
