The Senate needs a 2/3 majority to convict. Despite the overwhelming results, dems didn't come close to securing the 67 senate seats to convict Trump.I say this with chagrin
>>545549688Only if Dems are on their own. 13 republicans flipping is all it takes and they might consider it to save their party from getting dragged down
>>545549889I could see one or two flipping but 13 is ambitious. Maybe if Trump dropped nukes
>>545549959Way I see it its a losr lose situation. Either GOP flips on Trump to save itself and has a civil war or Total blue wave 2028 and GOP is doomed to irrelevance
so by some miracle they impeach and convict trumpgood jobnow you have president vance
>>545549688But they'll waste their momentum anyway
>>545550308>oh yeah well you just get vice pwesident vanceAnd? At least he doesnt have dementia or a toxic fanbase of cultists. At some point you have to draw the line even GOP would welcome Vance taking over
>>545550281ironically the best case scenario for the GOP is helping shoving trump and vance into a peach, letting a dem slide in for two years, and in 2028 going>hey look, the dems had it for two years and everything got infinitely worse. we promise we wont make the same retarded mistakes as trump.
>>5455496886 or 7 seats LOL LAMO
>>545550374Its possible, but only if conservative dems get cucked by AIPAC and Israel. DSA has a lot of momentum so it will be quite a juggle to pretend to do something when you have dems in power who will actually do something
>>545549688Trump is incredibly unpopular and a lame duck, and he sanked the Republicans who were running because of their association with him. I could totally see a handful of Senate Republicans throwing Trump under the bus to save their skin in 2028 if he's still unpopular.
>>545549688Unfortunately
>>545550808Its possible but the wild card is how much longer boomers will stay alive to trick like retarded babies with no object permanence or long term memory
>>545550969>sanked Post hands Jose
>>545550281The GOP will flip on Trump. Progressive conservatives exist and there are plenty of nu-gop senators out there willing to make a name for themselves. Anything to set apart the pre-maga gop with the post-maga gop.
I don't think it's likely, but I can see a handful of republicans seeing this as their chance to get outta the MAGA circus.
