I'm in touch with several people in the Ukraine, specifically in the Eastern Oblasts.The situation there is dire, to say the least.> Essential workers no longer getting paid> (mechanics, engineers, plumbers, electricians etc.)> can't afford their own wood, oil, gas> can't even afford material and gas to drive to repair site> their employers are pretty much broke> government isn't paying, not enough or too late> entire streets without electricity or plumbing> many stories of bank cards not working> communication a nightmare, also due to wide blackoutsIt makes you wonder if Ukraine's medical sector is suffering with similar issues.It looks like Kiev has run out of money, and likely syphoned off what remains for the subsequent flight from an imminent nationwide collapse.Understand that a quick 2bn$ transfer won't do shit to change this outcome, except just pump more money into the pockets of corrupt officials and politicians. Ukraine has lost this war, and the only question is: will Zelensky allow his people to suffer through what will likely be the worst winter in the past century, or will Ukraine topple him, unconditionally surrender and BEG Russia to save its ass.. I don't think the average Ukrainian really grasps how bad shit's about to get, though.
