To be ACTUALLY conservative, you need to have a practical plan for stopping progress in AI, robotics, genetic engineering, and all related fields, and you need to be working extremely hard to get as many other people as possible to help implement this plan. Nobody is doing this. The most conservative people on the planet might be those islanders near India or whatever who kill any modern person who comes ashore - and they are doing absolutely nothing to stop the rest of us from changing everything about humanity. There is zero significant conservatism. There are only extreme progressives (blue flavor), extreme progressives (red flavor), extreme progressives (miscellaneous other flavors), and impotent enclaves of locally (and therefore insignificantly) conservative peoples.

Free will and random chance are too powerful in the grand scheme. Ultimately having strong values, morals, and a code of honor are highly important to living a fulfilling and meaningful life, but trying to police that for others and expecting low IQ and low quality people to live up to such narrowly defined standards is a fruitless and futile endeavour. Thus conservatism inherently can't have any appeal to those who are unable to subscribe to any sort of universal morality to begin with, which leaves it very little room to grow or be of use as a social movement.
