>Tried to stop Trump in the Biden era
>Turned Florida into a red state and it's now to the right of Mississippi and Louisiana, only iffy state to survive the Blue Cyclone
>Basically the only candidate who could appeal to the MAGA base while not being attached to Trump while still being qualified
>Young. Not quite Vance young, but they're both Xennials (just Vance is on the Millennial side of the line while DeSantis is on the Gen X side)
>VP couldn't be Rubio due to that rule about not having two candidates from one state, so probably either a moderate like Youngkin or Kemp or some young semi-groyper type (so either the Pence strat or Palin strat)

Game plan would be kicking out Trump and Hegseth, having Vance hold office for two years, cut off Israel completely, focus on trying desperately to stop the bleed, and hope what's left of the old fart pro-israel dems fuck up enough to break the storm.

Ime voting Dems until my acceleration gets me actual Nazis

He flew to Israel to sign an antisemitism bill
>>
>>545623161
Never. DeSantis pushed millions of dollars of state resources into the local jewish communities like the parasites they are. He also have tons of privileges and protections to them such as making "antisemitism" a felony if you put even just a flyer up. That bill he signed while he was israel.
Never DeSants. He will be raped.
>>
>>545624784
raped in the political sense of course
>>
>>545623161
Ron DeSantis actually flew to Israel to sign a Florida law to make it illegal to criticize Israel in Florida. I am not making this up.
>>
i heard he needed to stuff his boots with tampons to appear taller

He probably will be, and barring the Democrats fucking up as badly as Trump did, he will probably fail.
He might win if they run Harris against him,
>>
>>545624837
>>545624784
Doesn't change most of my points. He has all that going for him. Might make picking a strict anti-Israel guy as the VP important though
>>
>>545623161
Zion Ron?
>>
>>545623161
The problem is he's smart enough to know that running as the Republican candidate in 2028 is just going to be an 18 month long humiliation ritual ending in completely anticipated defeat
He's going to sit this one out and work in the background until 2032/2036
>>
How bad did Toolsy Gabbard fuck up by joining the Trump administration when she had already made a good name as an outsider?
She joined Trump, got run out, now she's lost her respect in the Dem and Repub parties and is basically just retired, right?
She could have been a great candidate right now if she'd just sat out this administration instead of becoming a lackey.
She could have been our first Poojeeta in chief
>>
>>545623161
He's also the only person who has actually tried to run as "MAGA Adjacent, but not strictly tied to Trump" before. Nikki Haley was running as a classic conservative and I dunno wtf Vivek was doing.

Strategic fracture works yet again

The problem is if the Republicans lose in 2028 the Democrats get 60 senators and will go through with Project 2028 (new blue states, abolishing electoral college, open borders and amnesty turning Texas safe blue, stacking the court) blocking the Republicans out of power until the 2040s at least.

The Republicans need to win in 2028 or they're fucked. DeSantis is as far as I can tell the best option for top of the ticket (Rubio is too tied to the Iran war and they can't run together). Question is mainly down to VP.
>>
>>545625174
A woman is not a good candidate. As you can see she can't make good decisions.
>>
>>545625369
The fact of the matter is we're basically in a repeat of where we were in 2006
Trump's approval is pretty much tied with W's at this point 20 years ago, and it's probably going to get worse since Republicans are blaming him and the Iran war for losing midterms
Democrats have already flipped more House and Senate seats than they did in 2006, and there are still two Senate seats left and dozens of House seats that haven't been called yet
2006 led into 2008. Which was so bad that it gave Democrats a filibuster proof supermajority in the Senate for the first time since right after the JFK assassination
All of that to say: The only chance Republicans have of winning 2028 is if Democrats commit some kind of history making fuck up. Not just pushing some unpopular policies, a fuck up on the level of running a Hillary/Kamala ticket.
And DeSantis knows all of this. And I think he's smart and patient enough to wait until the next go around to avoid that.

I mean they went with Jeffries still who is pro-israel and tied to Jared, Chuck is still pro-israel. The DSA Vs Moderate Dem fighting isn't done yet.

There's definitely a window, but they need to throw Trump and probably Hegseth under the bus and get gas prices down
>>
>>545623161
Thomas Massie would be the better choice
>>
>>545626289
Hegseth is probably gone, but they're not going to kick out a sitting president. Especially one who's had total control of the party for a full decade. That's a pipe dream.
And even if they did, there are still even after midterms millions of Republican voters who support him. Kicking him out automatically guarantees they stay home or vote Democrat to punish the Republican party. Automatic landslide loss in 2028.
Trump is going to finish out his term, Republicans are going to limp into 2028 with Vance because he's tied to Trump at the hip and burning him will avoid wasting any usable talent, they're going to take the L, and then they're going to regroup for 2030 and 2032.
>>
>>545623161
This guy is a charisma black hole.
Run him!
>>
>>545626780
Trump isn't exactly a spring chicken. Him croaking sometime in the next 6 months would thread the needle
>>
>>545626780
It is no pipe dream.
Demonrats are coming at him with a vengeance. They have what they need to impeach and convict. The only question is do they have the balls to get rid of Trump.

A ousted Trump will not lead anything, other than a a quiet suicide before he gets put in prison.
>>
>>545627322
>>545626780
My logic is Trump would make a very good sacrificial lamb as long as they do it in a way that doesn't piss off what's left of hardcore MAGA
>>
>>545627079
Hinging your bets on a man with access to the most advanced medical technology on earth and a personal medical staff of 20 something people standing by on call 24/7 dropping dead is not a viable strategy
And even if that does happen, Vance becomes president. Do you really think he's going to spend a year and change as president dealing with a quagmire war he didn't support and an adversarial Congress and then not run in 2028?
>>
>>545623161
>Tried to stop Trump in the Biden era
Like he won't be any different from Trump.

>Turned Florida into a red state
This is laughably untrue. Winning by 1% is not "red state"

>it's now to the right of Mississippi and Louisiana
This is laughable. You are telling me Miami and Hollywood Florida are bleeding ultra right conservatives?

>Basically the only candidate who could appeal to the MAGA base while not being attached to Trump while still being qualified
This is laughable. DeSantis would have run on the same economic free market bullshit policies Republicans always run on and lose.

>Young. Not quite Vance young, but they're both Xennials (just Vance is on the Millennial side of the line while DeSantis is on the Gen X side)
Who cares? He's still a Zionist.

>VP couldn't be Rubio due to that rule about not having two candidates from one state, so probably either a moderate like Youngkin or Kemp or some young semi-groyper type (so either the Pence strat or Palin strat)
Who cares? He's not gonna be president.

>cut off Israel completely
Well you can stop right there son. DeSantis is on par or even more Zionist than Trump.
>>
>>545627465
Mossad would have to do way better than they did with Charlie Kirk. They've been so sloppy for so long, it's hard to imagine them not fucking it up.
But maybe.
>>
>>545623161
I want MAGA to be destroyed, so I'd rather see Vance run, since no Republican can win in 28, just like no Republican could have won in 08.

However, DeSantis's tendencies toward boomer luxury communism at the expense of working adults concerns me given that the Social Security Trust is going to run out in the early 30s and payments will automatically decrease by about 20%
