Look up Noah Harari talking about being able to essentially program beliefs and behaviors into people using AI and social media algorithms to "hack" the human brain by exploiting psychological weaknesses like fear, anger, and hatred to manipulate behavior and shape beliefs from analyzing vast amounts of personal data and then manipulating their internet feeds accordingly. It would be wildly unethical if some heavily vested NGO scale third party with enough bandwidth had conducted a mass manipulation campaign, but I'm not sure about the legality and I'm quite certain it would be like getting a straight answer out of Fauci to ask the dems about it, but it kinda lines up. It's a complete shot in the dark theory, but it's not like they haven't tried things like that in the past with the mass false narrative consensus Bot swarms and "social media" manipulation teams like Act Blue. This would have been something new and quite frightening though. Basically the TLDR is a specialized LLM type AI for psychological manipulation tied to a massive meta data database acting like a persons personal "internet filter bubble" to curate a persons feed so as to encourage certain beliefs while suppressing unwanted information. If 20 years ago Google could sway public opinion 15'ish percentage points just by controlling the first page of search results to keep unwanted results off of it. Imagine what an LLM with basically a PHD in psyops operating at the server level at everyone individually could do? Again wild speculation, but it has been hinted at by some of the Davos and AI doomsayer crowds and it just feels like it fits. Maybe I'm just tilting at windmills. Pretty sure at this point it's already way too late to do anything about it. I could be way wrong, but I just have a serious gut hunch.
