Vid-rel: Ukrainian soldiers using jackhammers and grinders to break open US Mk 25 sea mines, extracting the explosives for reuse in drone warheads due to severe shortages of ready ammunition.

This highlights a critical Western bottleneck. Russia produces around 50,000 tonnes of TNT yearly (easily scalable to 100,000 tones under 2 years) and has roughly tripled overall explosives output (TNT, RDX etc) since 2020 via plants like Biysk, Sverdlov and others.

By contrast, NATOs main TNT source is one Polish factory (Nitro-Chem), producing only 10,000 tonnes annually, much of it already committed to the US, leaving Europe and allies heavily dependent on this limited, aging capacity while new plants lag. Decades of post-Cold War deindustrialization leave NATO structurally incapable of matching Russian energetic output as of now. The US operates zero active domestic bulk TNT manufacturing plants. Complex permitting ensure constructing a new high-explosives plant takes 5 to 10 years. Decades of chemical outsourcing leave Western defense firms dependent on foreign precursor supply chains.

The gap drives such desperate scavenging in the Country 404 which leads to accidents.

In the Samara district near Dnipropetrovsk, a massive ammunition depot explosion on August 25, 2026 - deemed a "war crime" by authorities - has erased entire village. Hohols were crudely extracting TNT from Soviet shells - not safely melting it, but knocking it out with a hammer like on the vid which caused huge explosion wiping out entire village xD

they have no use for sea mines, they already sunk russia's entire black sea fleet.

both ukrainians and russians "recycle" bomblets into drone munitions. has nothing to do with explosives productions and everything with the fact that bomblets work great for dropper drones plus custom-made (mostly 3D-printed) munitions for those drones still aren't produced in enough quantities to cover what's needed. For both sides. this is the same as the ubiquitous PG-7V RPG-7 warheads used in FPV drones.

Hammering is a desperate improvised method born of poverty and post-conflict scarcity. In developing regions like war-torn African shitholes, civilians risk their lives using hammers and chisels to extract valuable explosives from old ordnance, often because they lack safer alternatives and formal disposal resources. Conversely, developed nations employ controlled melting or manufacture new explosives. Russia, specifically, finds producing new explosives cheaper than recycling due to state-scale industrial capacity and low-cost domestic raw materials. You can use steam-out or hot-water melting because bulk high explosives like TNT melt safely at around 80C. Heating allows the explosive to liquefy and pour out smoothly without mechanical friction. But in case of Russia this technique is more expensive than production of new explosives, hence uneconomical.

Modified bomblets are reused intact for their engineered warhead geometry. Hammering open an Mk 25 is raw explosive harvesting forced by a lack of bulk supply. Two different issues xD

>Decades of post-Cold War deindustrialization
These retards expected that after 1991 Iran would be conquered, Russia fall apart and China remain strategically isolated and remain a bug sweatshop.
There'd be no more major wars just campaigns against fourth rate powers like Syria and the occasional counter-insurgency operation.
Apparently they never heard the saying

Vid-rel: Tu-160M bombing thermal power plant in Dniepropetrovsk.

Ukrainian TPPs are hard nut to crack. Built during the Soviet era, the main turbine halls and main engine buildings feature reinforced concrete walls several meters thick. They easily withstand nearby explosions, shrapnel, standard artillery, and light drone strikes, so they must be hit with heavy munition for destruction. Soviet thermal power plants were engineered during the Cold War with a clear civil defense doctrine: survive a total conventional war and near-miss tactical nuclear strikes. Soviet military planners designed these structures to withstand scattered area-bombing and near-miss artillery blasts, not modern satellite-guided precision weaponry tho.

Yet, the critical Ukrainian infrastructure is still a very hard target compared to the one in Europe whose destruction would be much easier xD

Close-up footage from hacked security cameras showing the moment of two Kh-101 cruise missile strikes on the Prydniprovsky TPP. Juicy af xD
>>
>>545661231
These Kh-101 on the vid are a modified version known as Izdeliye-30 (Product 30). Total Payload, approx 800 kg, increased from the original 500 kg by reducing fuel volume. Penetration capability estimated at +3 meters of reinforced concrete, ideal for thick TPP walls. Russia sacrificed excess flight range (from 2,500 km down to 2,000 km) to accommodate the heavier warhead section.
