Why don't they just compost the leaves on their property instead of trucking them to the dump?
It probably messes up their lawn ir something
>>545670352>>545670155Rich people have too much money and OCD>t. service industry worker
>>545670155Cool, I'll just keep a pile of frozen leaves in my yard all winter.
Some trees drop so many leaves they kill the grass, which turns the yard to mud, and it washes away with every hard rain.
Compost heaps are vermin magnets
>traditionHow so?nobody did that until 20 or so years ago>compostMost major urban centers in America today have large (as big or larger than garbage) curbside compost bins There's no reason to rake leaves into plastic bags. It's retarded
>>545670155Many of us do exactly that, but as >>545670488 says some yards collect mountains of leaves and it’s just not feasible
>>545670155ironically leaf liter is extremely valuable if you know what to use if you for and have the proper leaves and treat your lawn the right way, but 99.999% of people have no fucking idea they're basically discarding thousands of dollars worth of products.Which in fairness if more people knew it would be worthless, so hey, more for me.
>>545670455How many broken down cars do you have in your lawn already?
>>545670628bout tree fiddy
>>545670559They used to burn them. And children used to lose their fingers to blasting caps oh the good old days.
>>545670155Post your hands. I can tell you've never lived in a house with a yard or trees.
>>545670155because composting is illegal because slight non offensive smells are unacceptable to foids.
>>545670155I like leaves on the ground for a while but HOA doesn’t. Better to clean them up
>>545670155everyone's a rentcuck now so they don't care about the property.
>>545670721Leaves are falling right now I just mulch them with my lawn mower.
>>545670155Mind your own business Karen.
>>545670619I have a million leaves please teach me what to do with them
>>545670488This. My front and back yards are full of leafy trees and by the first week of november there isn't a square inch not covered by 3-4 inches of dead leaves. I usually just pay a guy with a crew to blow everything into the woods behind the backyard, but a lot of my neighbors in the cul-de-sac don't have that option and have the same problem to deal with, so for those you usually see a truck come by and they vacuum the leaves up and dispose of them.If I just left them on the ground to rot, my yard would be 100% mud in the spring.
>>545670488Aren’t Americans spray painting their lawn in greenish colours from time to time?
>>545670155all of canada's population represented in one precisely accurate photoworth and status checked
>>545670155The plastic bags are retarded, in my hood the municipality drops off a freight container on a back street and people dump their garden waste into it.At the countryside cottage we have composts for small stuff and then a big pile of leaves and lawn clippings. Everything becomes new soil for the garden. The boars trash the pile once or twice every winter. But this is hippie communism.
Be extremely thankful they don't burn the leaves. Smoke for days. I hate the way my white trash neighbors always burn leaves and yard debris
>>545670155>white people cleaning gets its own thread
>>545670155Boomer lawncare culture's a touchy subject around these parts anon. Maybe don't poke that hornet nest.
>>545671483
>>545671580>no MonsterAI and gay.
>>545671237>I hate the way my white trash neighbors always burn leaves and yard debrisI leave in a part of the country that does this every spring as a tradition. It starts forest fires every year but the local yokels give zero fucks and the gubmint knows better than to mess with tradition around these parts.
>>545670155We like to run them over with the lawnmower and leave the leaf pieces under trees and out of the way, same with cut grass. It all turns into soil
leaves are good, they are a habitat for many insects that are beneficial, they lay their eggs on them and live underneath them above the soil.you should always keep some leaves and just use them like a top soil around your plants. They help keep moisture in the soil too.
>>545670155They don't own land. I have 33 acres and keep an area towards the back where I dump off stuff I'm composting I have some sections which are 100% new soil at this point.
