Now that the midterm dust has almost settled, it's time for the 2028 presidential race to start.
What do >we think /pol/? Who is the GOP nominee, who is the democrat nominee?
Is it still her turn, or is it his turn now?
Who wins?
Does anything ever happen?

I plan on making this thread periodically as we get closer to 2028.

I bet the house of lil Tommy. Bots are already shilling him after midterms, exactly as i predicted
>>
>>545678579
The problem for Massie is he'd need to win a GOP nomination campaign which I can't imagine he does.
>>
>>545678356
Bad fucking idea to run Harris again. She won't win.

I'd say Ossoff or Newsom for Democrats. Buttfucker can't win Dixiecrat stats like NC or Georgia.

I highly doubt Vance or Rubio would win, but they did pick Trump so who knows. Massie would be a good pick for them politically.
>>
>>545678356
Massie/MTG on the right
AOC/Newsom on the left
>>
>>545679104
Idk about Ossoff, he's just to bland; and Newsom is a fucking horrible idea. He's a male Hillary Clinton with somehow an even worse record.
>>545679114
Newsom doesn't seem like the VP type, he'd only be president but I could see AOC as a VP even though it's a bad idea.
>>
>>545678356
massie or its a blue landslide, even massie cant unfuck this disaster though
>>
>>545679213
I do see a lot of Leftists pleading for the whitest, malest candidate possible to win in 2028 and saying Harris needs to fuck off.
>>
>>545679213
The only other one I could see winning out of those would be Kelly. AOC is too far left and a woman, which goes heavily against her.
I feel like the only way for Dems to guarantee a win is to pick someone like Trump, but a lefty. Like Oprah, Michelle Obama, or someone else famous who the majority of people already know or like. But it's quite unlikely these people would want to run.
The house and senate might've been a big win for them this time, but it's unlikely to be permanent. Trump will be tarred and feathered by them for the next couple years, but you never know in American politics. There's a lot of shit that's going to happen in the next couple years.
>>
>>545679298
The irony is for the first time in a very long time, whoever the nominee for the GOP is will HAVE to campaign on working with democrats. They'll still control the house and senate and it doesn't seem like in 2028 the GOP will be in position to take them back easily, so whoever the GOP nominee is will have to say basically "this is what I want to get done, and I want the dems to help me do it".
>>545679479
lol I see that too. Ironically, the 2028 candidates will actually have to be "moderates"; meaning not full MAGA nationalist or full DSA socialist. The only way for the dems to win is to nominate a normal white guy who is a moderate from the heartland, and the GOP has to nominate a calmer normal white guy who isn't going to be as retarded and erratic as Trump.
>>
>>545678356
Why is RFK jr on the right? he's still a democrat
>>
>>545679600
I keep seeing Ossoff and Bashear (Kentucky governor) who are both normal seeming white guys but idk they just don't excite people enough imo. I agree though nominating a woman or non-white is ridiculous.
>>545679689
For a while they had Don Jr there but I think they realized it was unserious lol. So is RFK but I think pollsters aren't sure who to even poll for outside Vance, Rubio, and DeSantis.
>>
>>545678356
wow they are all horrible
>>
>>545679757
I wouldn't count out the non-whites, Obama did win twice fairly easily.
>>
>>545679654
Ideally, the Left would need to give up the immigration/ICE issue and support American workers while the Right would need to concede on bootstrap fiscal conservatism and support some left-wing economic populist policies. A candidate that did both would sweep the election.
>>
>>545680030
Obama was a once in a life time figure who was le first black president that could seem white enough to get people to listen. For a woman to actually win in the US she'd need to be extremely impressive and not too much of a cunt. Not many of those in US politics desu.
>>545680087
I agree, and I've seen Vance allude to that kind of compromise. I don't think he objects to the left wing economic ideas as much as the older ones.
>>545680006
Maybe, but I do know for a fact it won't be a boomer. We're all, on both sides, tired of boomers for fucks sake.
>>
>>545678640
I wouldn't be surprised if he turns independent. He says all the right things that the population is primed to vote for.
>>
republicans: post midterms vance is clearly weak, trumps endorsement will be poison, vance has a glass jaw and the other republicans can smell blood. The gop primary is now wide open and i could see more people running against vance, although i think the ones with the best chance to take out vance are rubio and desantis

democrats: this one is going to be a brutal clusterfuck, like 100 democrats running because they know the winner will coast to the presidency. i thought gavin was the front runner but it seems kamala is getting double digit dictator like numbers with the blacks
i dont know who wins this one, but its going to be an entertaining shit show
>>
>>545681412
I think Vance is weaker, but now weak. he's still the best on the right and he'll get the support of the Trump detractors like Tucker and that wing of the party.
>this one is going to be a brutal clusterfuck, like 100 democrats running
kek I totally agree. it's going to be hilarious
>>
>>545681651
tuckers endorsement would be poison to vance too

the dissident right is fully primed to become black pilled non voters again

you have to realize if by some mirical a republican wins they will have to campaign towards the center and working with a democrat congress, right wing populism is over
>>
also im glad they stopped polling for trump jr, they need to stop polling for rfk now and do new post midterm polls
>>
>>545682015
>right wing populism is over
No it isn't neoconservatism is over. Trump got backlash BECAUSE he strayed away from right populism. I think this goes for both sides
>the leftwing populist who says they'll work with rightwing populists will win
>the rightwing populist who says they'll work with leftwing populists will win
>>545682144
lol I know it was such an obvious troll answer.
>>
>>545678356
I don’t think people understand how thoroughly fucked Republicans are. Trump (the most unpopular president in modern history) is not going to do a Reagan and just walk into the sunset and allow the movement to evolve without him. He will continue his narcissistic grip on the party by exerting absolute power over his little maga piggies, who represent 18% of all voters. 18% (53% of Republicans) is all it takes to decide a primary. For a Republican candidate to prevail in a primary, let alone a general election, he will have to be totally disconnected from this WH but also kiss Trump’s ass while simultaneously decrying the colossal failure of his administration. It will be a nightmare situation for as long as he is around.
>>
>>545678356
Vance can win but Trump has to take a backseat like a good old man.
>>
>>545683951
I think he will.
>>545683860
>He will continue his narcissistic grip on the party by exerting absolute power
I don't think so because the party elites still hate him. The GOP senate not moving his agenda and letting it stall is part of it. I'm sure Trump will keep talking and talking and talking but people will down it out.
>>
>>545678356
The dream team is the Rubio/DeSantis ticket, either one as president. Dems need to run a Gavin/Cool Nigger or Sexy Whore ticket to stand a chance.
>>
>>545684039
>The dream team is the Rubio/DeSantis ticket
For the GOP establishment, of course. For the voters it'd be Vance/Tucker or something like that.
>>
>>545684203
Nah, Rubio and DeSantis can actually run shit and get things done.
>>
>>545678356
Nooo please not kamala. If it's Kamala vs JD Vance, I honestly don't know who to vote for. Retard kamala or traitor vance.
>>
>>545678356
Top two dumocrats are a black woman who already lost and a faggot named booty gauge.
>>
>>545684315
amigo... you can't vote in our elections
>>545684313
the usual move for someone young like Vance is to get a more experienced VP like Trump did in 2016 with Pence. I think the ticket even though it's been talked about a lot will be Vance/Rubio.
Also Rubio and Desantis can't both be on a ticket because they're both from Florida.
>>
>>545684035
“Party elites” (whatever the hell that means in a 2026 Republican Party context) can say whatever they want; the cult of retards will remain. Whoever is thinking of running will have to bend the knee sooner or later.
>>
>>545684520
>amigo... you can't vote in our elections
Gringo... but I do thooo. Voter fraud essay
>>
>>545678356
>AOC
This cunt needs to fuck off already.
>>
>>545684594
As long as the GOP nominee makes it clear they're not going to be as erratic as Trump he should be fine.
I think people want a calmer presidency.
>>545684683
AMIGO, NOOOOOOOO!!!
>>
>>545678640
I think people are getting pretty fucking sick of both parties.
Massie will win 2028.
>>
Massie/Tucker 2028
>>
>>545678356
>Haley
>Ossoff
Why are they even there? Who fucking likes those fags?
