How the fuck do you see your parent kill one of your kids, and then go "Welp, here's the other kid. Maybe second time's the charm"? My parents and in-laws do help us with childcare, which I'm very grateful for. But it would take a much smaller incident than a fucking DEATH for them to forever lose grandchild watching rights. If you're a parent, you have an absolute duty to protect your children, including from family if necessary.
