My parents bought a thousand acres a few decades ago.The plan was on their death to split it into equal pieces for us children.They are selling it now because it's worth like 2 million dollars.They got all of this money by just buying a house away from unsafe areas and then selling that home when it doubled in value. They did this like 6 times, then bought a thousand acres which quadrupled in value.Meanwhile I sold my house and made 4 grand, then bought a way overpriced house that I'll be stuck in forever at 6% interest rates.
