Japan was trying to liberate Asia from allied colonial slavery
because the allies, particularly the French, were trying to create a series of judeo-christian client states (see: south korea, south vietnam, taiwan, philippine) in east asia and illegally blocked gas and oil from entering Japan after Japan intervened.
