The US has a metric shit ton of MRI machines because in America anyone can pay to get a scan. And there are a fuck ton of people there with way more money than sense; who at the first sign of anything wrong immediately demand an MRI scan. And if they're willing to pay in America, doctors are more than happy to charge them. The reality is you're not really supposed to get endless MRI scans. First of all they're genuinely not good for you since you're blasting yourself with radiation any time you use one. Second of all they can actually confuse doctors if you didn't really need one and got one anyway. Doctors mistake shit on MRI scans all the time. In America you can go out and buy a scan, the doctor sees something he thinks might be a mass, and then you spend a shit ton of money on a wild goose chase only to later find out it was a false positive.So in Canada doctors only order MRI scans when they genuinely think something is wrong with you and aren't sure what it is and really do think a scan would helpful. For this reason we don't need a metric fuck ton of MRI machines, because they're not a service you pay for, they're basically a public utility and you need a legit doctor to genuinely think you need a scan to get one done. You can't suggest it yourself and buy one whenever you want like in the states./pol/tards once again proving they're 85 iq.
