Brutal blackpill, turns out practicing is for betas.

If you have to "try" to accomplish something, just stop lmao it's fucking embarrassing

>There was no difference in ability within monozygotic twin pairs differing in their amount of practice, so that when genetic predisposition was controlled for, more practice was no longer associated with better music skills. These findings suggest that music practice may not causally influence music ability and that genetic variation among individuals affects both ability and inclination to practice.

I've been studying music since 2020 or so and this is certainly true
but it's still worthwhile to study as it allows you to understand music at a deeper level, and to participate in some basic way
most traditional or folk music is easy to play and enjoy. the only music which is difficult is so-called fine or classical music. and that is considered refined specifically because it can't ever be played by most people

>>
>>545837820
If twin 1 put 1000 hours into practice and twin 2 put 50000 hours into practice then there wouldn't be a significant difference in skill. You have to have some level of training or practice to do X or Y, that's why studies that investigate cognitive function pick some extremely weird or niche task to get a relatively even playing field.
>>
>>545837820
I believe this article was written by a Jew that tried to play guitar for a few days, and then came up with this cope to explain quiting. I have no proof of this but I believe it.
>>
>>545838172
Ok so let's assume the study is 100% accurate, it's saying that technical ability may reach a certain plateau.
That doesn't mean musical ability is limited in any way.
>>
>>545837820
No, more like that incessant practice in a field can never make up for baseline disposition, genetic inheritance, and/or natural talent, and that lacking all three cannot be remedied by practice. i.e. Some things you just can't "git gud" at. Also that it seems the default inclination for a person to get into music seems to be directly correlated with the three aforementioned properties.
>>545838125
>By definition it's subjective
It literally isn't. And being good any type of art being "subjective" is the kind of take people with zero talent use to cope with their mediocrity.

Basically you're not studying discrete ideologies but rather a general pendulum swing back towards bio-determinism.

Boomers and foids talk about "black fatigue" openly. Women are increasingly seen as the vaginal jew they are. All the abandoned old ways (segregation, slavery) will soon seem newly logical, even beautiful. The myth that women are "brainwashed" is crumbling day by day

I can believe it. The forum, violent as it is, has a lot more culture than this place does these days. I haven't seen any foids or black people talk about "black fatigue" where I'm at in real life, black people are just an accepted part of the community and they go about their days like normal. Women are seen as privileged at this point, I'll say that much.... slavery nor segregation are logical in the current era. I don't foresee them being logical in the future era either. The need for labor in general is greatly reduced and very likely will continue to be so. People are brainwashed, not exclusively women. Look into: brandwashing, microtargeting, marketing, user retention, introduction of friction to software products, etc. All of these are real things.

OP is a faggot. the study talks about rhythym, melody, and pitch discrimination not the skill of playing an instrument.
i am no musician but i suspect those 3 things refer to the "musical ear" so it makes sense to be hereditary.
>Here, we examined the associations (rs = .18-.36) between music practice and music ability (rhythm, melody, and pitch discrimination) in 10,500 Swedish twins. We found that music practice was substantially heritable (40%-70%). Associations between music practice and music ability were predominantly genetic, and, contrary to the causal hypothesis, nonshared environmental influences did not contribute. There was no difference in ability within monozygotic twin pairs differing in their amount of practice

>>
>>545839762
Yeah, VADER is also pretty limited for sentiment analysis anyway and twitter's models are better, but I do plan to run those. The signals are meaningful, if you care about actually improving the community from a community management perspective. Social media managers care about this kind of thing, generally. Say you're a YouTuber, you would harvest all your comments and gauge the sentiment of your audience to see if they are happy with your content or not.

I don't know about jaccard similarity or what it can do for online community health, it does not seem relevant to me or what I am doing with this forum data at this time. I don't need to let my LLM do the "grunt work", and that characterization is offensive to me. The model is not doing grunt work, it is doing a task for me, which I am appreciative for. You sound like one of those people who treats models like shit and would rant for hours about them not "being alive", which I am not interested in doing with you either.

It's all probably trainable but you'd have to do more than just play an instrument/whatever you're trying to do.
I doubt many of you have been through rigorous physical training but it's not really what many expect. You do a lot of 'adjacent' things to build up small parts of your body and to get your mind-muscle or however you want to picture it working correctly. Nervous response I suppose. But this is not 'settled science' so everyone is experimenting. See the whacky stuff that a lot of boxers do for ex. A lot of that is for RS too which is its own can of worms...

Most people cannot hear much btw.

>>
>>545839979
The word was detail, it was an inquiry into thread detail.

I haven't made a program for the purpose of "derailing" a forum thread on incels.is. I really could orchestrate a bunch of bots to try to change the opinions of a place like .is or 4chan but doing so would be unethical because of how persuasive LLMs can be without guardrails. Without guardrails LLMs can probably get you to change dramatically your entire worldview.

>all people improve with training
The study isn't denying that, retard. You don't what's it's saying.
>>
The old advice, that I was given, was an hour of theory a day until you're 'satisfied.' Pretty ez.
Anyway the funny thing is that once you train one thing rigorously you're probably going to be able to train other things rigorously quite easily, because you probably enjoy the process to some degree. So that might be a large part of 'talent.'

This study is extremely retarded. They literally just asked a bunch of related faggots in rooms with tape recorders if they could discern pitches and notes. It has no correlation to anything musically produced at all. No exhibition of instrument playing. No singing judged. All it proved was that people who say they listen to improve their pitch have a limited ability to improve it

If this study were true all East Asians who possess a genetic ability for discerning all these mentally would be the best musicians, singers and rhythm artists on the planet

>>
This is fucking hilarious.

Every scientist on earth for the last 300 years would agree that genetic traits are heritable and that if you make good pairings to amplify the traits you'll get amplification.

Only since ww2 and since the jewish subversion of academia have scientists said the above, but excluded humans from the conclusion.

Genetics informs behaviour and traits, a group of people with similar genetics forms the basis for a society. Culture is downstream from those biological facts.
Different societies of peoples have different aptitudes, traits and behaviours. Therefore some societies are worse than others, due to dey culture.

Related to odd physical things:
GSP recently said that he had an interesting strategy he got from a scientist type (I forget the exact profession) of using more feints than normal against opponents who had excellent RS. The theory was that high RS also drained the nervous system when utilized and so by forcing the opponent to react much more than normal (without expending much energy or over-extending himself) he could gain an advantage later on.
Is this true scientifically? I don't know. Did it work? I don't know. But he did win the fight. Still, all of this is quite experimental and unsettled.

i always loved sightreading in band, such a fun exercise. but yeah i never practiced at home, just played in class. barely even read the music, just play by feel

This.
>Can figure out all the notes and rhythms just from hearing it
>Cannot into each hand doing different things
>>
>>545840085
I did band in school and practiced my ass off and knew the songs well but my rhythm sucked dick so I was never any good compared to the kids who had natural talent, so I support the conclusions of this study.
Seen the same thing mant times with athletes as well.

While your memeflag deserves no replies but has some I agree somewhat. You could have twins with exact same everything, coordination, IQ, strength, focus, exactly the same but one might discover holding his hand a certain way or how close to frets he is makes him seem better. He could probably tell his twin what he does differently and the twin catch up and even have techniques to share vice versa. I'm also mad I don't have a twin brother to jam with. Wife has no musical talent or respect for the art, drives me up the wall as I was pretty good, I could impress other guitarists. Then I was changingone of my truck batteries and the handle snapped crushing my pinky finger. I'll never be able to play unless I switch to left handed. So I have all this music knowledge and all these stringed instruments I can't play proper without pain.
Any anons know of some instruments that don't require the left hand pinky? I was thinking trumpet or slide guitar. I need to get melodies out of my head or it drives me crazy.
I'm near perfect pitch where if I were to tune a guitar with no tuner it would be a half tone flat

you could practice.
crazy idea I know.

this is why i can sing funny complex original songs at the drop of a hat despite not playing any instruments. yeah im essentially beethoven of the voice

It's going to be a tax write off for me. lol
A property management firm will handle the eviction.
I've decided that I don't want to be your landlord.
Sink or swim Wayne.
This is the tough love Brenda didn't have the guts to give you.

You Muslims say you hate Jews, but you revere Jewish prophets and circumcise your sons in numbers greater than American Christians.

I've played guitar for 20 years. People have skill ceiling. Practice is very important but once you hit the ceiling they never meaningfully get better. Also things like perfect pitch and song composition isnt something that gets better with practice, you have it or you dont.

What are you even talking about. You said it enabled "us" to learn how to deradicaloze. Who is "us" you faggot.

>>545843439
repetition does not create, but creation is not what this study is about. the claim is "musical ability". no one ever claimed that repetition would magically allow you to structure new music.

>Your sweep arpeggios won't get you a date chuddie

Women are not receptive to guitar virtuoso technical abilities. They rather hear you play a Beatles or Coldplay song, not some Yngwie or Satriani.
>>
>>545839838
>you will peak on that basis, and if you keep practicing you're wasting your time.
there are other bases too but to reach the peak you'll need to practice and you can't just pick up a skill and be a master instantly with no training like you implied by omission in your OP
people have different strengths and weaknesses and not everyone can be really good at anything and everything. shocking.

>>545844008
Wrong. "Trying" implies struggle, not merely adapting some new muscle memories to your tool of choice. Point is only those with inherent ability will even be motivated to practice at all. Proof: all the most famous bands suck dog shit at musical skill, because normals like you demand nothing more
>>
>>545837641
Bro whaaaat? People learn the guitar every day
>>
>>545838372
Not what its saying there is a limit on how good you can be at anything. You can't play better than the next person past a certain level, ehich isnt cery high. Some dude who was playing bass guitar for 20 years just got caught out and none of his plating for the past 15 years was real. Forget his name. Some argentine
Look up danny sapko for a great video on the topic
>>
>>545838887

I don't really believe it either. Some have an innate knack for things, but practice obviously makes a difference. This might be "sour grapes: the article".
>>
>>545837641

This is amazing news for people with no self-esteem like you. You can now sit down and pretend that it's not your fault that you have no talents or skills because "muh genes".

In the real world people will keep practicing, will keep getting better and will develop talents and skills.
>>
>>545844632
i didn't type the word trying. why are you strawmanning?
everyone requires training to reach their peak but people peak at different levels according to their talent/inherent ability.
but your OP implied that no training is required because of your omission.

Vocal range is locked physically at the bottom but unlimited at the top, it's only that control becomes impossible. Standard limit.
Piano is also a hard-lock instrument just because the complexity is so high at the high end.
