I haven't had an above average meal from a fast food or fast-casual restaurant since before COVID lockdowns. You used to go to Chipotle, Qdoba, Culver's and there was a 90-95% chance of a good meal. Now it's either cold, portions are shit, or the quality of the ingredients is poor, or all three. All of this of course is also correlated with the color of the employees.

My theory is that while most of the world was connected through smartphones and social media by 2019, there were still a lot of people who used it casually, didnt browse too often, etc.Then during COVID we were trapped inside for 2 years and everyone got addicted to the 24/7 news cycle since there was nothing going on. And our minds have not readjusted. So we are impatient and always expecting. It's created a restless society.
