The high humidity and heat is a maintenance nightmare and a lot of people don't want to put the money in to maintain a small plane in those conditions.Then you have the squalls, which these planes are especially vulnerable to, both because of their small size and the fact that they don't have radar to spot them. You can be flying through seemingly clear air one minute and the next you're in a small storm.The only other state that has similar weather is Hawaii, and planes crash just as often there as they do in Florida. You hear about it less because there are less people (and less planes) and most of the time the planes crash into the ocean or a field, whereas in Florida they're a lot more likely to crash into a suburb.
we need to ban these smaller aircraftit's not a right to drive these into the streets, that's not in the constitution.Meanwhile owning all types of weapons including canons is and that's constantly being infringed upon.
It would make sense not to allow amateur joyriders not to use urban skies.

After watching them I gave up any hope of learning to fly or flying in a small plane/private jet. Once you get rich just fly first class on a major airline. The private jet pilots are the losers of the pilot industry.
