There's a finite time that talent stay on the brand before getting released or moved to main or AAA which is a both a detriment and a stake - you gonna have a great run in NXT and be over like a motherfucker on that show - now it's over because you are going to main where gonna possibly be over or creative has nothing for you for the next 2 years before you get released - to seething in the indies, AEW or TNA or NWA in a rare case. The main roster on the other hand can be stale and same event for years, and I get that's part of the business and selling more tickets - all that jazz, and they do heck of a lot worse with what characters are set to the sidelines, like Fraxiom, motherfucker, you know how good they are as a team of underdogs and how much personality they can have despite one being a bong and another has no visible face? They've done basically fuck all with them, giving them no focus to flesh out their personality and goals on the main. Main's good for big feel, big name matches from time to time, but NXT is where it's alive, it's got more soul.
