>you look at someone like Hunter and go "what has he ever really... done?"
>>
>>20548830
Is Bret mad because Paul accomplished more than he ever will?
>>
>>20548830
Bret is always right
>>
>>20548830
The pause before "done?" is absolutely killer, can't believe people think Bret is anything other than a 10/10 promo.
>>
>>20548830
He got some cool entrances by banging the bosses daughter
>>
>>20548847
how many wrestlers were inspired by Paul?
>>
>>20548891
Cody. fuck i was better off not naming anyone.
>>
>>20548918
To be fair Cody's a generational talent. He could have been inspired by King Kong Bundy and still turned out to be a massive dime drawer.
>>
>>20548918
huh... his Father and Brother were already wrestlers. Cody was only inspired to wrestle because of HHH?
>>
>>20548830
Well there was that time when he was going to pedigree Stephanie and her titties popped out.

Is this something they made him say on an early 2010s WWE-made documentary about Triple H?

OP got no response to this
>>
>>20548830
He's completely right in that, Hunter has never had a moment or match that inspired anyone. HHH could only be a face for like two months before people turn on him because he's afraid of looking weak.

His legacy is superimposing his name on the cover of Blade 3 as if he was a main character.

B. Hart is always so truthful about wrestling backstage and his VALID opinions that his interviews always draw the biggest dimes from people who may left wrestling behind years ago - but haven't diverted their attention from Hart.
Only bad thing Brett's legacy has nowadays is UFCM Punk parading as his protige which makes Hart look Bad.

Bret never had to literally take over a company to
- be recognized as great
- rewrite history so that his matches, antics and rivalries seemed epic
- induct himself, wife and friends into the HOF

Bret got shitcanned in the worst way possible, but fans were like, "Nah, still our guy." A true talent is undeniable, and WWE put their tail between their legs to repeatedly ask him back. Vince even said he legitimized the championship.
>>
The fact that more people know who HHH is than Bret Hart really makes him sizzle.
lmao
>>
>>20548830
What has Bret done in his career besides being an accessory to Steve Austin's rise to fame? Anything?
>>
>>20552712
he's done more than you paul
>>
>>20548830
>give yourself brain damage
>blame a jew
Pretty based honestly.
>>
>>20548856
Bret has always had dimes promos because there’s always been some truth to them. CM Punk can bitch and moan about capitalism and Vince then go suck his dick and take his paycheck. You know for a fact whenever Bret cut a promo on you, he meant that shit

Smarks will post shit like this then conveniently forget that WWE has been riding off the success of the Attitude Era and SCSA for decades now.
The only reason professional wrestling is even relevant today is because of Bret Hart. I mean, look at WWE’s and AEW’s rosters - 90% of them are wannabe Bret Harts
>>
>>20552712
Uhhhh he literally created the attitude era
>>
>>20552712
stupid bait. Bret orchestrated Austin's rise. Austin himself routinely gives all the credit to Bret.

>And he says, in an interview, that he didn't like working with me because I didn't hit him hard enough. And I say, hey Bret. Who would you rather work with, who would you rather have matches with, for the next five, ten, fifteen years of your fucking career? Me? Or Goldberg who kicked you in the fucking head and gave you a god damn stroke and now you drag your foot around and you can't even get your dick hard. Euuugugh eueuuuguggh my eye's hanging down eugugghgh my left nut hurts euuggghh its fucked up from the stroke eughgghhnn
>>
>>20552594
I mean, folks, where’s the lie?
>>
>>20552712
Protecting Rock and Austin from Haitch and HBGay, thereby ensuring the Attitude Era.
>>
>>20552712
HHH is a schemer. Niggas was already in Production meetings at the time. Shawn was coked up and could go to Vince, but HHH is a rat who was snitching on everyone. Bret protected Rock from their bullshit and basically put the rocket on Austin's back.

Bret was the one that wanted to work Austin when he came back.
>>
>>20548830
The greatest retirement speech of all time was HBK. Just proving he's the GOAT. He thanked Bret for forgiving him, Vince for putting up with him, and HHH for never giving up on him.

>>
>>20550932
it's something they occasionally trot out. there was that dumb snippet where he was talking some female through her entrance and she had to act like slowly standing was an impressive idea
>>
One of the best Bret Hart interviews was on Opie & Anthony but I can't find the isolated clip nor do I know the episode date.

fuck off he didn't mean it like that ya sicko
>>
>>20552712
Let us pretend for a moment this is true. Let's live in that fantasy, just for a few posts.
Even by that metric, then what did HHH do in his besides being an accessory to Batista's rise? (after burying like 10 other guys)
Bret's Stone Cold trumps Hunter's Batista any day...

Bret's "enema of the US" promo is one of my favorites of all time. Bret is an absolutely fantastic talker, I don't give a shit what anyone says.
>>
>>20548830
HHH is one of the biggest draws in pro wrestli g history. None of his wrestlmanias took place in a parking lot and fans never left the building duuring his main event like how fans walked out during Bretts match in the Anaheim duck arena
>>
>>20560056
>HHH is one of the biggest draws in pro wrestli g history.
for someone that was around as long as he was and pushed as hard i cant really think of any memorable moments or classic promos besides katie vick
>>
>>20560056
Yeah he “drew” a giant toilet bowl and flushed millions of viewers during his gay little Horsemen cosplay.
>>
>>20560056
HHH was ironically a draw in 1999 to 2000 when he had the “My Time” Gimmick.

Still the best entrance music.

Motörhead is overrated and for Boomer Scum Trash.
>>
>>20548830
HHH has been an excellent heel that people desperately wanted to see lose.

I didn't know much about Bret growing up. But he is so right about HB Gay and Paul. Fuck em.
>>
I was there for DX, and yes, Shawn “carried” it, but HHH was an important part of what that group was, too.

For instance, take something like Key & Peele. Jordan Peele was clearly the bigger star of that duo and has since gone on to direct incredible movies and TV solo. But come on, KMK deserves a lot of credit for what “Key & Peele” was.

Penn & Teller is probably another good example. Penn carries it (because he talks, lol) and has done lots of good solo stuff too. But it’s undeniable that “Penn & Teller” is great because of what Teller brings.

Yes, Shawn was the heartbeat of DX. But HHH was an important piece of it, and he should absolutely get credit for it as something he’s “done” in wrestling. Other than the Four Horsemen and the NWO, DX is as iconic a faction as you’ll find in the history of pro-wrestling.

Certainly more iconic than the Hart Foundation.
>>
Not really. Chyna and Kid were just as big as HHH.

Bret Hart was already old news by then. He was part of the earlier '90s wrestling generation and was already on his way out, while stars like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, and Kurt Angle were coming up.

It also helped that HHH started dating Stephanie and got his big push through his feud with the McMahons.

Dude got over like Dom, feuding with a family but reversed. and 1000% more beneficial
>>
>>20552700
Which one was on the Simpsons?

>>20548830
He said the same thing about Shawn. Basically he shits on all his enemies.

>>20557296

>>20561169

nah, he said he was influenced more by HBK and Muto
