Why do AEW's PPVs do so well in attendance and buys while their TV is still relatively middling in attendance and ratings?
>>

AEW attracts an adult audience, who spend their time productively during the week. Only the super hardcore fans watch every weekly show.
The PPVs is where it's at. They always deliver, so it's always worth checking out.

tony can put together a good event and has the talent on the roster to step up for it, as the good part of having a roster full of self marks is they are driven to over-deliver. he has no clue however on how to book compelling week to week television and a lot of the talent coasts because why not. he's basically booking for the payoff and it doesn't matter how many boring tournaments, heatless collision matches between main guy in feud and henchman #31 in the don callis family, or 16 man ultra giga superstar tag matches it takes to get there. that's why he wouldn't give up on this cope and cage tag title run despite how many things got in the way of the right timing, he just doubled down and neutered the tag division for an entire year until the stars aligned.

Unlike the week to week TV, their PPVs still have an insanely good reputation.

Nobody watches aew

Just like streaming you need a story to sell it. Lots of times there big streamers who you think are has beens until they get into a new arc or start trying again. Aew is the same, it doesn’t have stories so no one cares if they miss a show but a special stream/show is a must watch

Similar to Kamala rallies during the election. The same group of smelly retards get bussed in to every show, and probably paid to be there too.
>>
Tony is definitely buying his own PPVs too in bulk to get those numbers up. Can't do that with tv ratings though
>>
Gives away free tickets to the ppvs.

The buys are just made up as no outside source confirmed them

>Can't do that with tv ratings though
Why not? Just buy a bunch of TVs.
>>

Because he can't hide the numbers from the weekly shows. He can paper the arenas and stadiums for PPVs because the actual buyrate never comes out. So he can keep framing them as some super hot commodity. But we all know the ratings for Dynamite. It's not exciting news and the show reflects that and less and less people want to go, and it's not worth his dad's money to buy up the tickets and give them out

AEW is a PPV company
WWE is a TV company
Simple as
>>
>>20549932
easier to run big markets for big shows (naturally) and draw a crowd but week to week you have to run smaller towns to not kill the big markets and they're just not that big of a company to do it
>>
>>20549932
Because the PPVs actually advance the feuds and booking and the TV shows are just heatless bangers and comedy promos to fill time until the PPV
>>
>>20549932
The storylines and segments in AEW are abysmal, but they do cool moves on the PPVs.
>>
>>20549932
Because they have a pretty good track record with their ppvs going on for two years at this point. Etards can say whatever they want but AEW puts wwe to shame with their PPVs compared to PLEs
