Cody won't turn because there isn't anybody to replace him right now. He's a perfect FOTC for WWE at the moment. Clean, presentable, well spoken, puts in the work, spreads the brand. He puts butts in seats and sells merch. It'd be dumb to do it now. Plus there is the split reactions anyway, a heel turn will not change that at all. Best way to do it is have Cody move out of the main event scene so fans can get someone new at top and then immediately jump back into the main event with a turn.
Cody is not getting boos right now, is a top merch seller, is in longterm programs with heels, including unfinished business with Randy and Gunther, and his face status is key to the storylines of many others. Are there still smarks trying to pretend he should randomly turn because... it would be yummy?
