AEW Double or Nothing was my first AEW PPV as a WWE viewer. I have been passively following AEW content on socials, as it automatically appears on all my feeds as I consume wrestling content a lot in general.

But I had never watched an AEW PPV, let alone a weekly show fully. It's all been a few matches here and there that got buzz. But Double or Nothing was the first PPV I watched start to end and goddamn what an experience.

I knew absolutely nothing about storylines except Darby Allen wants to kill himself every match but somehow avoids it. The pacing of the show was incredible. Every match started like 2 minutes after the previous match ended and as someone who consumed all WWE shows weekly including NXT & TripleAAA, no ads whatsoever were such a refreshment.

Now this post is not dumping WWE, I still am a fan, but goddamn do I have to admit it should learn a lot from AEW. This PPV felt like a WrestleMania. The energy was through the roof.

Ps - singing along to Edge's theme after years was so nostalgic for me.
