They had a good English following in the early 2010s with DGUSA, but when NJPW started their resurgence around 2011-2012 Meltzer took all his focus away from DG and put it solely on New Japan. Also due to the fact that DG didn't really cooperate with other companies at the time. Their fanbase almost exclusively watch Dragongate and not really deal with any other wrestling stuff which explains why DG has such a high attendance and do worse than smaller promotions when it comes to wrestling magazine's popularity votes. The fans doesn't buy or interact with these magazines.
