Do WWE owns the tapes of all territories? With a bit of storytelling and editing skills to provide context in between matches and promos, it could be a dime program.
>>20564375But you could have bri'ish yewchewbers tell you why it was problematic instead!
>>20564375No but they own most of the important ones besides Memphis.
>>20564375Yes, Kevin Dunn's dad saved them from his trunk when his car was on fire
They own AWA, ECW, SMW, World Class, Mid-Atlantic some of Georgia, Mid South, Florida, Stampede and some WWC that we have never really seen. They don't own Houston, Portland, Knoxville, LA, Southeastern, Detroit, WWA, Memphis, IWCCW and some others. We've seen little of their AWA, Florida and Stampede. We have most or all of Mid South, ECW, SMW, World Class and Mid-Atlantic from '84 on.A couple of things to keep in mind:- Things were heavily built around the next show in the territory days. There wasn't always much continuation week to week- TV had a lot of squashes then- A lot of people came in and out for brief periods of time
I've always thought they should do something like that. Break the shows out into seasons, debut the seasons with a minidoc to give historical context. You do run into the problem that these shows hype a lot of matches that never made tape, so it might seem pointless to most people. Mid South recorded some of their bigger house shows, so maybe start with them, use AI to provide commentary. And then by the time you're ready to move onto the less comprehensive promotions you can use AI to recreate the blow off matches. >>20565002Memphis is public Domain, they could use the footage but it's below the broadcast standards of anyone who would pay them to air it.
