But seriously, how do you justify watching this? All the storylines are trash. The wrestling is overly cooperative with little or no psychology. Do people watch simply because it's the "gay" fed?

Most wrestling fans don't actually know what constitutes good wrestling they just go along with what they're told is good and it came along when the zeitgeist of anti-WWE was at it's peak in 2019
Not making excuses for WWE, because the zeitgeist was right, WWE was absolutely shit during that era, probably worse than it is now, but AEW doesn't need to be good it just needed to do enough to uphold the aesthetic of quality because marks don't know better.
If they wanted actual good wrestling they'd be looking at the past
