>[NOAH] Endo Tetsuya to continue appearing in the Ark even if he captures the GHC: “This summer, I’ll win the belt, catch stag beetles...”>Endo Tetsuya (34, DDT) is fired up to capture NOAH’s treasure, the GHC Heavyweight Championship.>Endo declared his challenge to Shane Haste, who defeated KENTA at the May 13 Korakuen show to make his first successful defense. Explaining why he is taking on a showdown within the same unit, WHITE RAVEN SQWAD, he said, “When I made the challenge, it had only been about a month since I met Shane. But in that time, he left an impact strong enough to rewrite the history of my roughly 13-year career. So I thought that if I took the belt from Shane, my own career would shine even brighter.”>At the beginning of May, Endo declared, “Until I leave the name Endo Tetsuya in GHC history, I will continue fighting in this NOAH ring.” From those words, speculation spread on social media and elsewhere that “Endo might go back to DDT if he wins the belt.” But he made it clear: “The GHC is the symbol of NOAH. That’s why I want GHC fights to happen in NOAH’s ring. Even if I win the belt, I intend to keep fighting in NOAH’s ring.”>Outside the ring, he also has a side as a stag beetle enthusiast. On what he has been up to recently, he said, “It’s not just breeding. For about two years now, I’ve also been into catching them in parks around Tokyo.” Apparently, even in Tokyo, one can catch species such as flat stag beetles and small stag beetles. He smiled and said, “This year, I’ve only gone once in May so far, but even then I already caught a few. It’s a good omen heading into the title match.”>At Shinjuku on the 2nd, he teamed with HAYATA in an official Neo Global Tag League match against Sugiura Takashi & Masa Kitamiya, winning decisively with strong teamwork. Endo vowed, “This summer, I’ll win the belt, catch stag beetles, and go full throttle!” Will he become the central figure of the Ark?https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/390463

NEO GLOBAL TAG LEAGUE 2026June 3, 2026 (Wed)Hodogaya Public Hall, Kanagawa318 people
>[NOAH] Kenoh demands that Naito Tetsuya “withdraw from the Ark”: “I want him to end his career in NJPW.”>NOAH’s “Mr. Pain in the Ass,” Kenoh (41), demanded that Naito Tetsuya “withdraw” from the Ark mat.>NOAH is currently holding the Neo Global Tag League 2026. Kenoh has entered B Block in the “MaruKen” tag team with Marufuji Naomichi. His immediate goals are to win the league tournament and to capture the GHC Tag Team Championship held by the outside enemy team of LTJ’s Naito and BUSHI. Speaking to reporters, Kenoh bluntly said, “Personally, I really want him to go back to New Japan. He isn’t someone who belongs in Pro Wrestling NOAH.” He issued an order for Naito, who left New Japan last April, to return to his old home.>Kenoh is wary of the influence Naito’s presence will have on the promotion. He laid out his view: “Some time ago, what happened when they clung to Mutoh Keiji for everything? What happened to the young wrestlers when they brought in legends even if it meant taking away the younger guys’ opportunities? They just rotted away, right? NOAH is a promotion that really doesn’t learn.” On the other hand, he also argued that returning would be for Naito’s own sake, showing the face of a “Naito fan” as well: “Thinking about Naito Tetsuya’s life as a pro wrestler, he shouldn’t be in NOAH. While he can still move, I want him to end his career in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. The fans probably want that too, and I hope for it as well.”
>>20600145>What supports Kenoh’s wish is that NOAH’s parent company, CyberAgent, will become a new shareholder in New Japan. “They’re the same company, so it’s a matter of saying, please just go to New Japan already,” Kenoh urged. Having lost to the LTJ team at the Nippon Budokan show in January and allowed the belts to flow out of the promotion, he looked toward reclaiming the treasures: “Marufuji and I created the reason for them to stay. We have to win quickly and recover the belts.” Kenoh, who also showed a hard fight at the Hodogaya show on the 3rd, now looks to see whether his own success can send Naito off from NOAH.https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/390619

>[Dragon Gate] Shun Skywalker makes surprise announcement that he is “leaving the promotion,” previews appearance at Korakuen show on the 5th: “Burn it into your hearts.”>At Dragon Gate’s Korakuen Hall show on the 4th, Shun Skywalker made the surprise announcement that he is leaving the promotion.>At the Aichi show on April 26, PSYPATRA, PP, the unit led by Shun, clashed with the villainous army Z-Brats in a mascara contra cabellera cage 6-way match with unit dissolution on the line. Homare from Shun’s side lost, and PP was eliminated. After that, Shun had been absent due to the effects of injuring his right ankle at that same show.>Then on this day, he appeared in the fifth match tag bout as “X,” the tag partner of his classmate Hyo. They fought a back-and-forth battle against opponents Yoshioka Yuki & Tanaka Ryoya, and Hyo scored the three-count on Yoshioka with the Samson Driver.>After the match, Shun took the microphone and said, “I came to this ring today seeking a fight. And right now, that fight was indeed here in this ring. And my other purpose: there is something I must say while standing in this ring. Shun Skywalker is returning to the heavens. In other words, I am leaving Dragon Gate.” It was a sudden announcement, and a loud stir rose from the crowd.
>>20604513>Hyo also took the microphone and said, “I thought that if it was the two of us, we could take the top of the pro wrestling world. But you’re going back to the sky, and you’ve already decided you’re going to do things with all kinds of people, right? You’re going to go take the top of the pro wrestling world, aren’t you?” Ben-K, who was at ringside as a second, and his opponent Yoshioka also sent him encouragement.>In response, Shun spat back, “To me, it sounds like you’re acting tough, but pushing me forward. If I have one thing to say to you classmates, it’s that this is what makes you soft.”>Dragon Gate will also hold a Korakuen show the next day, on the 5th. “Tomorrow too, Shun Skywalker will fight in this ring. The people watching are the same. You who call yourselves my classmates, and GM Saito Ryo, you too. Burn Shun Skywalker’s fights in Dragon Gate into your hearts,” he said, previewing his appearance before leaving the ring.https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/390708
It makes sense, like Shingo he's pretty much done all there is for him to do in DG and ended his relationship with Homare. I dont know what more they could do with him save unmasking him.

Shun is bigger than DG. He can get over anywhere, and if he’s leaving, knows a world title is definite at his next stop. New Japan is a fun fit, but NOAH feels weak up too currently.
>Shun Skywalker.>You're really leaving the group, right?>Teammate, classmate.>You're a special little leopard.>I'll claim the top of the pro wrestling world in my own way.>We'll meet again, right.>No, you come visit the leopard yourself.>#dragongatehttps://x.com/dragongate_hyo/status/2062510458968662127
There are conflicting accounts on if it's a work or notJae (DGs English commentator: >Also not an angle. Shun is leaving. Last will be World at the latest, hometown show at the earliest. It’s fine. It’s like when Shingo went, it’s not like it was stopping any momentum or making things any worse. There’s nothing else to do if he doesn’t want to do anything. It sucks but there are bigger problems with or without him.Gutsdozer (wrestling editor with some DG connections. He was the one who mostly got the Dia information right, how he wasn't going to be as BOSJ and was instead taking a hiatus so far):>I think people are focusing too much on where Shun will go. He's been working hurt for a long time (knee/ankle/neck). The hiatus after the cage was to recover. This was an abrupt kayfabe pre-intermission promo; it's more in-character if he's "ascending" and he'll be back when/if his body lets him.

>>20605253No matter which promotion he goes to, he'll give a massive boost to their Junior roster.

>Royoya Tanaka pins Doi after hitting the Stardust Press! Tanaka officially ties PAC’s V11 defense record. Afterwards, Homare would come out, making the challenge for V12, with Tanaka saying it would be a fitting match to showcase the future of the promotion. GM Saito would make it official, that it’ll be Tanaka vs Homare at Kobe World on July 20th. After that, Tanaka would announce that he was stepping away/“graduating” from D’Courage, with Yuki Yoshioka’s blessing; this is seemingly the end for the unit. >Shun would team with Yuki Yoshioka to face Luis Mante & El Cielo, with Shun getting the win via rollup on Mante. Afterwards, GM Ryo Saito would confront Shun, asking if today was his last date in DG. Shun dithered, saying that he thought Saito would do more to keep him and also saying that while he’s leaving, he plans on having one foot in DG still. Saito would say that he wants to plan a sendoff for Shun for Kobe World, as well as wanting Shun to work Korakuen before that. The two would go backstage to further negotiate Shun’s last dates, seemingly. > The team of Minoura, Lee & Kikuta would win (after Minoura pinned ISHIN) with Minoura saying that he was satisfied, trying to make peace with ISHIN, only for Kikuta to hit Minoura with a Lariat. Lee would take a baking sheet and hit his own partner Minoura in the head with it, as the group officially expelled Minoura. >El Cielo would be the first to come out and challenge Kikuta for the Belt, only for Kzy to throw his own challenge down. Kikuta would say he didn’t care and even stated he’d like to face the two of them in a gauntlet match, one after the other. GM Saito would say that there can only be one challenger for Kobe World, making a #1 contenders match for July 2nd at Korakuen between Kzy and El Cielo.

>>20621354>Is there any promotion in Japan that isn't in the grimmest state in its history?Yeah. It's really noticeable at this point and it's a big problem. Japanese wrestling was above American wrestling at one point. It wasn't because they had amazing athletes. They just made their work look real and held down people who sucked. Mexico and Puerto Rico are now above Japanese wrestling.NJPW is probably the worst offender in my book because so many of their problems were self-inflicted. They chose to push non-loyal foreigners over natives. They chose to delay young lions development and keep people like Shota, Yuya and Yota down for no real reason. They chose to do more comedy and House of Torture stuff every show.Noah's up there too. They let Kenta run off all of their trainees back in the day and trained very few people up until the last few years. They are obsessed with pushing 40 year olds over younger talent. They've done stupid stuff like constantly holding Masa Kitamiya, Kaito and Manabu Soya back.

>>20621354I'd argue that top to bottom AJPW is putting out the most entertaining cards since the NOAH exodus right now. Zero-1 is trending upwards for the first time in at least a decade. Senjo and Wave have both done much worse. NOAH is reaping the financial benefits of letting OZAWA turn the place into NJPW'esque American tribute wrestling. honestly, NJPW might be the only promotion at an all-time low and even that's purely from the quality standpoint - I'm sure they've done way worse financially

>>20626791>[NOAH/MM] Ishikawa Shuji vs Sekimoto Daisuke: Before the June 15 GHC Hardcore match... an unexpected tag team forms.>Ahead of the GHC Hardcore Championship decision match to be held at NOAH’s Korakuen show on the 15th, former champion Ishikawa Shuji (50, Evolution) and Sekimoto Daisuke (45, freelance) unexpectedly formed a tag team on the 8th.>At last month’s MONDAY MAGIC (MM) Shinjuku show on the 25th, Sato Hikaru defeated Tanaka Masato to win the title for the first time. However, because Sato vacated the belt due to injury, a title match between Ishikawa and Sekimoto was set for the 15th.>Then, at this day’s MM Shinjuku show, the two teamed together and clashed with Black Menso-re & Kikutaro. Even though they were supposed to be allies, the two glared at each other in the ring before the match. There was even a scene where Ishikawa kicked Sekimoto in the face while Sekimoto had Kikutaro in a submission hold. In the end, Sekimoto put Menso-re down with a lariat.>After the match as well, the two engaged in a staredown before leaving the ring. Backstage, Sekimoto flexed his arm and said, “Next week... Ishikawa, it’s a fight. Fight me with the GHC Hardcore on the line. It’s a battle between man and man. Got it? Come prepared.”>Ishikawa, for his part, also vowed victory: “I didn’t think I’d be teaming with Sekimoto. Well, whatever. The champion clenched his fist and said, “This match will be a battle that greatly influences the second half of All Japan Pro Wrestling’s year. In a professional wrestling battle, I will not lose. I will definitely defend this belt.”>Regarding Suzuki’s run in the CC, Miyahara explained, “Technically speaking, the way he finished every official league match was different. That was the part of Suzuki Hideki’s CC that left the strongest impression on me.” He then showed confidence in victory, saying, “On June 18, there are honestly parts of me that can’t predict what Suzuki Hideki will bring out. But I’ve faced every preview match with everything I have.”>Suzuki, for his part, emphasized, “Suzuki Hideki, the man with the best technique in the pro wrestling world, will defeat Kento Miyahara, the best man in the pro wrestling world.” Finally, he addressed the press before leaving the venue: “This match will, without question, be the best match in the pro wrestling world. >>20631270oh, a smug redditor. very elaborate and classy. allow me to explain: in 2024-2025 Zero-1 underwent a change in ownership and restructuring, leading to most of their young wrestlers choosing to stay in a regional indie that split away from the main promotion, and the belts only being defended in other promotions, if at all. that is by any definition an all-time low, and one they have been heading towards for a long time. in comparison, since then, they regained some of the young blood, got a new Hayabusa over, and even manned up enough to start posting attendance numbers for the first time in ages.lol at "making up" my personal opinion about AJPW. I'm sure you'd find the concept confusing, but it's not like you know what you're talking about, anyway
>>20632312Absolutely nobody cares about Z1 and hasn't since Hash died. All Japan isn't good. They had a bit of a resurgence about 10 years ago and that died. Maximum grimness all around.
All Japan's been really good the past few years the big downer was the DBS and then long Jun Saito title reign and Rei Saito Champion Carnival win. Really bogged things down at the top. And it's got the best crowd. It's so refreshing to hear actual women's voices cheering instead of just smarks and faggots.
>>20632643that's a total cop out. saying that AJPW is bad because you think it is bad is a complete non-argument and there is no way you've been actually following it closely. this year is already better than the previous one, which only got salvaged towards the end, once Jun dropped the belt and Shiozaki came over. I liked AJPW a decade ago too, but the match quality was not as good top to bottom. not with the Shining exodus, Akebono and Funaki often having underwhelming main events, an overall tiny roster, and fucking KENSO of all people getting featured way too heavilyaccording to you, Zero-1 is at an all-time low, but that exact same low has also lasted for most of its existence, whereas in reality them getting some things right, for once, is only more obvious when looking at their track record of being the most pitiful long-running promotion around, and especially fresh off that one year they nearly went out of business. btw, there are multiple people in this thread hyped for Fire Festival, if you haven't noticedNJPW crybaby narratives belong in their containment threads, especially after all the harm NJPW has done over the years trying to monopolize and Americanize puroresu
>>20633026I think you're missing the point. Japanese wrestling industry is in a shit era that they haven't yet escaped. No matter how some of your fav promos are better than they used to be. No matter "muh workrate match". Fact is people dont care like they used to and it doesnt seem like that will change. You're more likely to see it go the way MMA did. >We’ve received a #火祭り2026Winning Prediction>from Fuminori Abe of Kakuto Tanteidan.>Well, the season of the midsummer festival has come around again this year.>SummerSlam? G1? No, no, it’s Fire Festival 2026!!>This year’s field is incredibly stacked, making it an extremely difficult league to predict.>What makes it especially troubling is that there are several seniors who have helped me out day to day in both A Block and B Block. That makes it even harder to think through.>However, since this is a prediction, I’ll set those personal feelings aside and go with the safe pick here.>My prediction to win is Kuroshio TOKYO Japan.>My reason is that the opponents he has beaten up to now have been overwhelmingly strong.>I was there in person and saw the moments when he beat Suzuki-san, beat Funaki-san, and beat Shrek Sekine-san.>Every one of them was strong, and they were all tough fighters. They were truly shocking victories.>However, conversely, if there is one concern, it is that against opponents who look weaker than him, he very often gets too relaxed and loses.>To sum it up, Kuroshio TOKYO Japan is strong against wrestlers who look strong, and weak against wrestlers who look weak.>But this year’s Fire Festival is packed with tough fighters.>Which means he should absolutely be able to win.>Once he wins and obtains the Fire Festival sword, I am secretly looking forward to seeing him spend the next year using it as a weapon, running around every corner of every venue while swinging a Japanese sword.
>>20636425>My dark-horse candidate is Miyamoto Yuko.>Miyamoto-san is always ZERO1’s super-sub!>Whenever something happens, Miyamoto-san has always suddenly stepped in and saved the Fire Festival.>For the year after he won in 2018, the Fire Festival sword was always sticking out of Miyamoto-san’s carry case.>I’m looking forward to seeing Miyamoto-san run all over Japan, from one end of the country to the other, carrying the Fire Festival sword, and I also strongly want to see that again in 2026.>Above all, I pray for good fortune so that every participating wrestler can make it through the whole tournament without injury!!>#火祭り2026>#pwzero1https://x.com/ZERO1_Wrestling/status/2064661399033565202

>[DDT] Kasai Hinata Vows to Rise on a “Different Path” from His Father Jun: “I don’t think it would be right to wrestle by borrowing his legacy”>Kasai Hinata (22), who debuted in DDT in August 2025, vowed to make his leap forward on a “different path” from his great father.>He is the son of “the charismatic deathmatch wrestler” Kasai Jun of FREEDOMS, and he will team with his father for the first time at the August 11 Ryogoku show. In a tag match at the Shinjuku show on the 10th, he fought hard, including hitting Sanshiro Takagi of the opposing team with a corner dropkick, but lost when he was rolled up by Yume Niji.>According to Hinata, match videos were playing at home from the time he was young, and “by the time I became aware of things, I loved pro wrestling.” As for why he joined DDT, he revealed that his father’s recommendation was part of it: “If I had joined the same promotion as my father, people would have looked at it as me living off my parent. The expectation that ‘he’s going to do deathmatches’ would have become too strong, so I wanted to debut in a different promotion.”>He then looked toward the future, saying, “Honestly, at this point I have absolutely no thought of doing deathmatches. I feel like it would be wrong to wrestle by borrowing the accumulation of what my parent has done, or his legacy. I want to rise as a pro wrestler strictly on a different path from my father.”
>>20641170>Hinata is 171 cm tall, which puts him on the smaller side among wrestlers. He studies the wrestling of Bryan Danielson of the United States, who has been active in AEW and has also competed in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He emphasized, “Danielson isn’t big either at 178 cm, but when he stands up to opponents bigger than himself, the fans can emotionally invest in that. I’m conscious of taking things from that, in terms of how I should fight in order to get the fans behind me.”>Hinata, who continues to grow, is fully fired up for his tag-team outing with his father. He put force behind his words: “There must be things we can do, and things we can communicate to the audience, because we’re father and son. Over these next two months, I want to make that clear.”https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/391446

>[AJPW] Go Shiozaki Reveals He Suffered Two “Fractures” During CC Official Matches: “Wasn’t it a good opportunity to push myself?”>All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Go Shiozaki (44) revealed that he made it through “Champion Carnival 2026” (CC) while dealing with two fractures.>Competing in the festival for the first time in 11 years, Shiozaki finished first in A Block. Although he lost to Suzuki Hideki in the final and ended as runner-up, he captivated the crowd with performances that showed no sign of any long absence. Meanwhile, partway through the league matches, he began wearing tape on his chest. In an interview, he revealed that he had somehow suffered two fractures during official CC matches.>According to Shiozaki, he first injured the right side of his chest early in the CC. Then, in his match against Kumaarashi at the April Niigata show, he also broke a rib on his left side. “When I lifted Kumaarashi up, he countered in a way that was like a body press. That’s when it went crack,” he recalled. Later, a doctor diagnosed him with fractures of the cartilage on the right side of his ribs and a left rib fracture.
>>20645138>After that, he revealed, “I kept wrestling the whole time while using painkiller suppositories.” He further confessed that even in the final, “When I kept getting hit with elbows to the stomach, I heard a cracking sound from my left chest.” He has not been examined at a hospital for that, but if it was a fracture, there is a possibility he suffered “three fractures during the CC.”>Did it never cross his mind to miss matches? Shiozaki laughed it off, saying, “It’s just ribs.” Referring to Saito Jun and Anzai Yuma, who had to withdraw partway through, he showed his superhuman toughness: “For them, their injuries were bad enough that they couldn’t wrestle anymore, so that couldn’t be helped. But if you can move, it’s better to do it. Wasn’t it a good opportunity to push myself?”>Unfazed by injury, Shiozaki scored a hard-fought victory over Xyon at the Shinjuku show on the 11th. Even battered from head to toe, his march does not stop.https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/391584#google_vignette

>[Uptown] “The Unsinkable Battleship” Stan Hansen Makes a Surprise Appearance! His First and Last Time at Shinjuku FACE… Celebrates Tachibana Seigo’s 10th Anniversary with a “Youth!”>Stan Hansen (76), “the Unsinkable Battleship,” made a surprise appearance at the Uptown show promoted by Kuroshio TOKYO Japan (33) at Shinjuku FACE on the 12th.>The show was held as Tachibana Seigo’s 10th anniversary event. In the opening match, Tachibana & Kuroshio faced Ashino Shotaro & Kodama Yusuke. After Tachibana lost to Kodama, Kanna-zuki, dressed as his WRESTLE-1-era mentor Muto Keiji, appeared as a guest and congratulated him on his 10th anniversary.>Then, in the second match, Tachibana, working back-to-back matches, competed in a handicap match against the unusual team of Danshoku Dieno & Yosuke Santa Maria. Tachibana was sunk by merciless Danshoku tactics, giving his commemorative show a disastrous start despite the occasion.>However, a surprise was waiting immediately afterward. Holding the microphone in the ring, Kuroshio said, “Just now, Muto-san [Kanna-zuki] came to celebrate. There’s one more person here to celebrate,” and as “Sunrise” played in the venue, the real Hansen appeared.>Hansen appealed to the crowd, saying, “Always remember youth!” When Kuroshio asked if he knew Tachibana, Hansen replied, “Yes, I know.” Even Tachibana was understandably confused, saying, “I’m incredibly happy! But what does this mean? I have no connection to him at all, do I?” Hansen congratulated him, saying, “Congratulations, 10 years!” and the segment closed with a mass chant of his trademark “Youth!”>Shinjuku FACE, which has hosted many pro wrestling events centered on independent promotions, is set to close at the end of September. Hansen’s visit was literally his first and last time there. As he left, a huge “Hansen” chant echoed through the venue.https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/391680

After reading this thread, I fell for the "AJPW is good again" meme and watched the Champion Carnival final show. Well, that was a fucking lie. I got worked like a jabroni mark.
The problem with All Japan (and every promotion really) is that New Japan is so dominant that every promotion basically ends up being NJPW-lite. It's all the same stylistically. If you look back 20 years, when things were supposedly terrible, NJPW, NOAH, AJPW etc all had different styles. Now, every company is just bad comedy, boring strike exchanges, anti-dimes factions and false finish spam fests. And then, after the match is over, somebody walks out and challenges the champion. Grim, in a nutshell.
>>20661570>after the match is over, somebody walks out and challenges the championThis really does need to stop. It only became a thing about 10-15 years ago and it's just lazy booking. Especially when you've got two guys cutting promos at each other in different languages.

>[TAJIRI Serial #22] The Unique Rhythm of Kyushu Pro Wrestling That He Feels Ahead of the June 27 “Kyushu Super Genki Festival”>Even within pro wrestling, when the promotion changes, the atmosphere flowing through it changes too. Ahead of Kyushu Pro Wrestling’s 18th anniversary show, “Kyushu Super Genki Festival,” to be held on June 27 at Fukuoka International Center, what TAJIRI is once again feeling is the unique rhythm possessed by Kyushu Pro Wrestling as a promotion.>“In my three years with Kyushu Pro Wrestling, I’ve almost never wrestled wrestlers from other promotions up to this point, only people within the promotion. I do think that the rhythm differs in all kinds of ways depending on the promotion.” When you keep having matches for a long time in the same environment, that atmosphere naturally becomes normal. That is exactly why, when you mix with outside wrestlers, the differences become even clearer.>What TAJIRI feels is the difference from Tokyo promotions. “People from Tokyo really have sharp individuality.” Each person’s individuality is strong, and the individual comes forward first. By those individuals colliding with one another, the whole thing begins to move. TAJIRI sees that structure itself as different from Kyushu.>“Here, the individuals gather in order to make the whole thing turn, but over there, the individuals gather and then the whole thing turns. I guess that’s the difference.” Even in the same ring, the way things are built is completely different. Rather than one person standing out and pulling everyone along, each individual fulfills a role within the overall flow. That feeling is strong in Kyushu Pro Wrestling.
>>20670866>Of course, this is not a question of which is correct. The center has the center’s sense of speed, and the regions have the regions’ atmosphere. But Kyushu Pro Wrestling is a promotion that has continued while taking root in the local community. The sense of unity and distance that arises from that naturally appears in the ring as well.>What the audience is watching is not only the techniques. The atmosphere and flow drifting from the entire ring also come across as that promotion’s character. Kyushu Pro Wrestling has a color of trying to create one atmosphere as a whole.>At Fukuoka International Center on June 27, that rhythm will not change. It is not about one person alone standing out, but about how the whole thing flows. In the accumulation of that flow, the characteristics of Kyushu Pro Wrestling as a promotion are revealed.https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/392184

>[AJPW] Miyahara Kento Defeats Suzuki Hideki for V7 Triple Crown Defense: “I’ll use my authority as champion to decide the location of the next championship match!”...>Early on, Miyahara tried to seize the pace with his specialty, headbutts in the outside-the-ring battle, but Suzuki stopped his movement by driving elbows into his stomach and back. Even after they returned to the ring, Miyahara writhed in agony from a backbreaker. Suzuki then kept up a one-sided stretch of offense, immobilizing Miyahara’s arms and legs while driving elbows into his stomach, and even trapping him in a KENSO-style Tarantula.>Miyahara showed his grit during an exchange on the apron by spiking Suzuki head-first with a piledriver, but Suzuki kept pressing him with a European clutch pin and choking techniques, and Miyahara struggled to escape a pattern where he was always one step behind.>Even so, the moment Suzuki hit him with a human windmill, Miyahara showed terrifying toughness by getting right back up and firing back with Blackout, his knee strike, to counterattack. In the end, he blasted the standing Suzuki with another Blackout, then launched him with the Shutdown Suplex and took the three-count.>After the match, Miyahara extended his hand himself and shook hands with Suzuki. Taking the microphone, he rejoiced, “Seventh defense — I defended it!” He continued, pushing the crowd away: “There are no vacations for the champion. The next challenger is… I don’t know. You people predict that yourselves. Who do you want to see? Go ahead and say whatever you want.” He then unilaterally decided that his V8 defense would be held at the July 25 show at Kobe Sambo Hall in Hyogo, saying, “However, I’ll use my authority as champion to decide the location of the next championship match. We’ve had a run in Tokyo. I’m a nationwide superstar. It’s not only the people of Tokyo who want to see Miyahara Kento.”https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/392497

When this paper requested an interview, naturally, an emergency summons to a family restaurant went out.>Regarding the challengers, who are known by the nickname “Passion MAX,” he gave them high marks: “The voices cheering for them created a sense of unity among the fans in the venue, and they produced results too… At first I thought they were complete comedy acts, but apparently that isn’t the case. I guess they’re not in the same category as Captain Ace (Tanahashi Hiroshi & Captain New Japan).” But in order to preserve the dignity of the champions, they cannot afford to lose. Having lost in the league to Kiyomiya Kaito & Harutoki and to Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows, he revealed both his outlook going forward and his thoughts on his first singles match with Kiyomiya, scheduled for the July 18 Osaka show: “We have to face those two teams, and I personally want revenge too. And as GHC Tag Team Champion, I also want to stand in front of Kiyomiya, who I think is the symbol of NOAH today.”
>>20701575>Roughly half a year has passed since he appeared at the New Year’s Nippon Budokan show. “Right now, because I hold these tag titles, it’s like I have a reason to keep appearing here. That’s exactly why my feeling of not wanting to lose them grows stronger day by day. Little by little, I’m developing an attachment to this ring too, and I find myself thinking that I want to keep wrestling in this ring,” he said, showing his attachment to the belts, which he views as a kind of “passport.”>Put another way, if he loses the belts, he may lose his reason to keep appearing in NOAH. In fact, there have been critical voices from within NOAH, and Kenoh has called for him to return to his old home. His argument is: “While he can still move, I want him to end things in NJPW. I think the fans want that too, and I want it as well.”>However, Naito pushed back: “Does that mean Kenoh is publicly declaring himself my fan? But at this moment, New Japan is not an option for me at all. I want to keep appearing in NOAH, so if he’s saying he wants me to return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling, is he really my fan? Isn’t he just a New Japan Pro-Wrestling fan?” He then returned the favor: “If he’s going to say that even though I have no desire to do it, I should go back to my old home for the fans, then first I’d like Kenoh to go back to Michinoku , and I’ll watch that and use it as a reference. Since he said it, I’d like him to show me an example. I’m a fan of Kenoh, and I hope he returns to Michinoku.”>Naito, who unusually polished off even a muskmelon parfait, kept asking questions between bits of small talk: “Is my Wikipedia wrong?” “What does my profile look like on NOAH’s site again?” Since he was being annoying, the reporter reluctantly checked, and once Naito confirmed that the reporter had noticed that this day was his 44th birthday, he leisurely left with a fearless smile, leaving only the bill on the table…https://www.tokyo-sports.co.jp/articles/-/393001
>>20700277I think I read people said he was too arrogant for someone who didn't give results and inconsistent(not sure how these comments were accurate tho), so when he showed up at ddt last ryogoku i noticed passing comments on how wrestling with people his age would benefit him etc I admit I don't know much of him, and so far he never never acted in the same he did in noah
>An update on Joe Doering.>Mandy Banh, Doering’s sister-in-law, shared on his GoFundMe page that the TNA star is heading to hospice care amid his third battle with brain cancer.>“Sad to share the news that Joe is heading to hospice soon,” she wrote. “If anyone is local & would want to visit, please send a message. Joe could use all your good thoughts and prayers.”Doering has been battling cancer for a decade>Doering, 44, was first diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2016. In 2022, he announced that the disease had returned and would undergo further surgery.>Last November, Banh launched a GoFundMe for Doering and revealed that he was battling a third brain tumor. She went into detail on what Doering has gone through since his second diagnosis.>“After Joe’s last brain surgery in 2022, located on his brain stem, he developed ataxia on his right side, which has greatly impacted his mobility,” she wrote. “Joe works very hard with physiotherapy, however, he mostly uses his wheelchair in his day-to-day life, requiring assistance when using stairs, a walker, and any transitioning. This has been a great change, as one would imagine, from being a professional sports athlete.”>“However despite this great challenge, Joe has remained determined, focused, and most of all- in good spirits!,” she continued. “He chooses not to feel sorry for himself and battles his journey very privately. I feel after 10 years, to show Joe more love- that he still has support and encouragement- will help him embark on this latest battle!”>Although he was briefly under a WWE developmental deal in 2010, Doering is best known for his run in All Japan Pro Wrestling, where he won the Triple Crown title on two occasions. In 2020 he began his latest run in TNA as a member of Violent by Design.https://x.com/WONF4W/status/2069226781429682497

Vows to show KO-D Champion Yuki Ueno "a world he's never seen" on June 28th.>Shinya Aoki (43), the "Baka Survivor", has issued an ominous warning ahead of his challenge against KO-D Openweight Champion Yuki Ueno at the DDT Pro-Wrestling event at Korakuen Hall on the 28th.>Aoki earned his title shot by winning this year’s "King of DDT" tournament, and now sets his sights on reclaiming the gold for the first time in two and a half years. Reflecting on Ueno, who has become the driving force behind DDT, Aoki said with a gravelly voice, "Honestly, I never thought Ueno-san would reach this level. But now, he really is that guy, isn't he?">Commenting on Ueno's strength, he adjusted his glasses and noted, "Despite how he looks, he has a strong sense of self. He may seem like a soft, gentle guy at first glance, but he has a solid ego. Even when we grapple, he doesn't just let me take control. There's a real sense of him imposing his will.">However, Aoki has no intention of playing second fiddle. "It’s going to be a clash of egos. He’s charismatic, flashy, and popular. If I’m going up against that, I’ll be bringing what people often call a 'boring' (shio) style. I’m better than anyone at extinguishing my opponent's light," he declared, promising to drag Ueno into his own brand of professional wrestling.>He continued, "I’ve fought Montanha Silva just two days after a match with Kazushi Sakuraba. He’s never experienced anything like that! I’m going to show him a world he knows nothing about." With this "old-timer" move of bringing up an event from over a decade ago, he vowed to reclaim the championship.
>>20703928>Additionally, three days after the title match, on July 1st, Aoki will participate in an eight-man tag match at the GLEAT event at SGC Hall Ariake, joining Kazuyuki Fujita on a team called the "Real Toukon Strong Styles (tentative)" alongside Katsuhiko Nakajima and Kendo Kashin. Affecting a look of mock distress, he lamented, "Nakajima said he's 'graduating from the Toukon (Fighting Spirit) style.' If that's the case, what’s going to happen to the Real Toukon Strong Styles?!" He then pedaled away on his bicycle.
