>Endo declared his challenge to Shane Haste, who defeated KENTA at the May 13 Korakuen show to make his first successful defense. Explaining why he is taking on a showdown within the same unit, WHITE RAVEN SQWAD, he said, “When I made the challenge, it had only been about a month since I met Shane. But in that time, he left an impact strong enough to rewrite the history of my roughly 13-year career. So I thought that if I took the belt from Shane, my own career would shine even brighter.”

>At the beginning of May, Endo declared, “Until I leave the name Endo Tetsuya in GHC history, I will continue fighting in this NOAH ring.” From those words, speculation spread on social media and elsewhere that “Endo might go back to DDT if he wins the belt.” But he made it clear: “The GHC is the symbol of NOAH. That’s why I want GHC fights to happen in NOAH’s ring. Even if I win the belt, I intend to keep fighting in NOAH’s ring.”

>NOAH is currently holding the Neo Global Tag League 2026. Kenoh has entered B Block in the “MaruKen” tag team with Marufuji Naomichi. His immediate goals are to win the league tournament and to capture the GHC Tag Team Championship held by the outside enemy team of LTJ’s Naito and BUSHI. Speaking to reporters, Kenoh bluntly said, “Personally, I really want him to go back to New Japan. He isn’t someone who belongs in Pro Wrestling NOAH.” He issued an order for Naito, who left New Japan last April, to return to his old home.

>Kenoh is wary of the influence Naito’s presence will have on the promotion. He laid out his view: “Some time ago, what happened when they clung to Mutoh Keiji for everything? What happened to the young wrestlers when they brought in legends even if it meant taking away the younger guys’ opportunities? They just rotted away, right? NOAH is a promotion that really doesn’t learn.” On the other hand, he also argued that returning would be for Naito’s own sake, showing the face of a “Naito fan” as well: “Thinking about Naito Tetsuya’s life as a pro wrestler, he shouldn’t be in NOAH. While he can still move, I want him to end his career in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. The fans probably want that too, and I hope for it as well.”
