I've seen a lot of discourse regarding the "dropped" storyline between Chad Gable and Otis. I thought I'd clear the air. We originally had a plan for the blowoff match but several of us (including myself) voiced concerns that it would ruin Gable for the new direction we were taking him. If Otis were to beat him in the blowoff match, it would bury him. So we tried to memoryhole. it So, please stop saying it was a dropped storyline. TL;DR: If Gable lost to Otis, it would have buried him and we didn't want that because he wouldn't have been able to be El Grande Americano. And here's the kicker--this was ultimately a HHH decision.
