Wrestlers hitting their finishers multiple times and opponents kicking out of them is a "huge problem" in modern wrestling, per Booker T
>>
>>20611293
Uncle Ruckus T is right
>>
>>20611293
He's right, it's a consequence of finishers being the only moves that win a match. You can't do near falls with moves no-one believes is a legit finish. It wouldn't be as big a problem if guys had multiple match-ending moves.
>>
>>20611337
Gen xers started that in the attitude era
>>
>>20611293
He's completely right
>>
Sorry but he used the N word on TV so I can't support this Chud
>>
we don't care about this coon unc's opinion
kickout spam is kino
>>
>>20611293
So finisher and kickout spam is a problem NOW?
Why didn't he say anything when Roman was doing it a decade ago?
Why didn't he say anything when Taker and Shawn were doing it?
Why didn't he say anything and Cena and Orton were doing it?

Oh but now Booker Tom sees people doing it outside of Massa H's plantation so it's a big problem all of the sudden
>>
>>20611692
no it was always a problem. he didn't have a podcast back then. you want him to go back and nitpick everything from before?
>>
>>20611293
Yup. Professional wrestling is way too predictable today. It's one thing to know the match is over when the finisher lands. It's another thing to know the match is not over until the finisher lands. And it's yet another thing when it's not over until the finisher lands but wrestlers might kick out of finishers too. Give me a break. Roll wrestling back and let giant spots finish matches too. Wrestling would be so much more tense and suspenseful if one big spot, the right pin maneuver, or even a well-timed submission hold or signature move could actually finish the match.

stone cold doing 20 stunners on Raw is totally okay though because it saved the company

the real reason is that the storylines and characters suck now because they're unrelatable and inconsistent, like in skateboarding, little japanese kids hit a 900 everyday but it doesn't matter because it doesn't have the same build behind it that tony hawk had when he first did it
>>
>>20611692
Motherfucker people were shitting on Rock back in the day for doing it. Then Super Cena took it to a whole new retarded level. Roman to an even more retarded level and now Oba. What's next? The next "it" guy will kick out of 20 finishers? It's fucking retarded. It's Vince's shadowy hand still controlling things via his doofus son-in-law.
>>
I swear this new generation are autistic or something. They don't understand psychology at all and think the 10th finisher is just as exciting as the 1st finisher.

Wrestling was better when half of all matches ended in a crossbody or a rollup and the other half ended in DQ.
>>
Finisher spam doesn't happen very often in AEW, btw.

I literally can not decipher what the fuck he means by this
>>
>>20612869
In dragon ball the fighters attempt to do finishers over and over until one does a finisher so powerful it finishes. It was a really popular show. Many wrestling fans liked it. Yes they are gay and watch cartoons as adults.
>>
>>20612843
what did he mean by that?
