No, not even close. Ryder was a fun midcarder the crowd got behind, to the point he was a huge merch mover and even got chants during Rock's in ring return. He was also the main reason Vince saw value in social media and online stuff. The guy was a huge asset to the company and all they had to do was give him a push for the US/IC title. Instead they kept him off TV, took over all his online stuff and when they did put him back on TV, it was to completely bury him as Kane's whipping boy and getting cucked by Cena.

He recognized how good Bryan was, it was hard not to see it. Vince just didn't trust in Bryan as the top face, he only did WMXXX because Punk left and they needed the Network to be a success. Even if Bryan didn't get injured his first title feud was with old man Kane. He trusted Bryan later on with the heel run, even had him be inserted into Edge/Roman because he got cold feet over Edge.

I still don't see what some of you guys see in LA Knight.
I'm not deaf, I know he was white hot around WM39 and WM40 and they did him dirty not having him in WM in LA and the company shot themselves in the foot in merch sales with that. That's a facts. Even if he is a Jey Uso level shitter botcher there was shirts to sell and midcard to hold for him and they wasted his peak.- I'll give him and his supporters that much...
but past that, he's been a shitter midcarder, and his whole character seems fake and inauthentic - whatever little character he actually has - he's just a Ric Flair / Rock / Stone Cold amalgamation and memberberries at the the surface and there isn't much depth beyond that. The more it has gone on, the more desperate he seems to get to that upper echelon and more try hard he seems with equal levels of botches following him.
I like the guy, he comes off grounded and normal in interviews but he's really not as good as the hype and self-hype lead you to believe and seems like the ceiling was reached long time ago even without the bad booking
