What are your thoughts on Jeff Jarrett?

Genuinely speaking here the guy is a legend to me, actually very important figure in wrestling history from a promotor standpoint but also worked a hell of a gimmick, had the look, the build, great in ring. Guitars. Slap Nuts. Our guy.
>>
>>20667473
His country music gimmick got shoot heat from me as a kid.
>>
>>20667473
Solid midcarder. The Cody Rhodes of the 90's and 00's.
>>
>>20667473
Good hand, never the guy, locker room savvy.
Essentially a less successful Paul.
>>
>>20667473
One the best. very high on my list. unironically a great mid card heel
>>
nut slapping faggot

His match with Shawn Michaels at In Your House was pretty good.

MOTN every show he's on, even in TNA when they had Angle, Styles etc. Most people that shit on him have never seen him wrestle they've just seen the never drew a dime quote and regurgitate it.

i always thought he was based in WWF and he got played out in WCW towards the end never cared much since

It was the best non-gimmick match Hickenbottom had in the 90's.

>One the best. very high on my list
What is this from? I always see it
>>
JJ in WCW... Fucking hell. What a shitshow.
>>
>>20667473
Good except Slapnut's reign of terror on tna was just as bad as HHH's in WWE
>>
>>20667473
He out carnied Vince. Which makes him base.
>>
>>20667473
I liked him.

the Milli Vanilli of wrestling

liked Double J run with long hair early on
didn't like his later heel run post-hair cut in wwf
tag team with owen was surprisingly dimeless even tho they're both great wrestlers. debra showing her bra was the only time the crowd popped during their matches.
hated everything he did in wcw, slapnuts etc.

went back to liking him again somehow in TNA. the Planet Jarrett stuff, King of the Mountain etc. he worked as the top guy/world champ in TNA but not in WCW
>>
>>20668319
could be although the Mankind match was technically a non-gimmick match too
>>
Sting vs Jarrett at Bound for Glory 2006 is the best and most iconic TNA match and moment for my money. epic stuff.
>>
>>20673361
dimes theme and look
>>
Loved him in the NWA invasion angle in 1998.
>>
>>20667473
Im a zoomer and don't think I really ever saw WCW so I was confused why TNA were treating this guy like a huge deal. I remember he made a big return around 2007/2008 and the commentators were acting like this guy was the final boss of wrestling. All I could think of is how kurt angle and samoa joe and whoever could whoop this guy's ass.
funny finding out later that he was always a chickenshit heel and even with context it made no sense
>>
>>20667473
He's great
>>
>>20673473
He's always had great connections and I'm pretty sure helped finance tna some? Was I worked or does he not have actual big human monies? I also liked his short NJPW stint. Guys done basically everything for the business, knowing his role, an enhancement talent basically. and never heard of him bitching about his card spot

Unironically based. You could argue he had an egotrip monster heel run in TNA but that was to counter program Triple Hs reign of shitty terror
>>
>>20667473
When he went to WCW and became a main eventer I stopped watching.
When he was on the premiere TV episode of TNA as a main eventer, I lost interest.
He is a cancer as MJF said.
>>
>>20673567
>I'm pretty sure helped finance tna some?
He and his dad started the company, so he definitely had some money in it.>>20673567
>Guys done basically everything for the business, knowing his role, an enhancement talent basically.
Which is why booking himself as the top guy in TNA was so fucking stupid. And the fact that it lasted for literal years just made it worse.
>>
>>20667473
One word
Great
>>
>>20673567
>never heard of him bitching about his card spot
You don't remember that promo he cut on Vince and Bischoff for keeping him as a mid carder when he returned from WCW?
