Why would anyone care what Dave Meltzer rates their matches when most of them don't even draw a dime? If you base your promotion on his opinion you'll go bankrupt in months.

Nobody cares about his ratings. Aew fans pretend to care cause they think it validates aew(it doesn't).

are you running a promotion? you care how much money they're making?

You and other anti-Meltzer niggers care about his ratings more than any of his actual subscribers do

Eh.

Wrestling is a big tent circus with fans watching for a variety of reasons. There’s a small percentage of wrestling fans (less than 5%) who probably care about “technical quality” and shit like that, so these ratings are a niche value add to their experience, I suppose.

No different from what Siskel & Ebert used to do for movies. Most movie watchers didn’t give a shit whether they gave a film thumbs up or down. But for those fans in the “technical critical circle,” it gave them something to talk about.

You could literally start a ratings system based purely on entrances and likely attract a subculture of fans who would care about your star ratings for those too.
