But Davey was obviously much too roided to be used like that (and while Darren was also a working class northerner, he could at least act, Davey couldn't) and both the WWF and WCW somehow saw a main eventer in him, so the next best thing for their imagination was some sort of British version of Captain America based on the tag team he was in.It's thr mainland Europeans who had long adapted to the idea of Brits being violent hooligans, especially with the Heysel disaster in 1985. Americans like the idea of Brits still being the posh villains of Revolutionary War times.
