More people see WWE now than ever before due to social media and streaming. The PLE's and Manias are more watched than ever. What you mean is that less people are watching television, same as less people listen to AM Radio compared to decades previous.

It's hard for Wrestling to compete with more mainstream entertainment so instead you put out more shows and try to get more money out of the existing fans instead. What can YOU do? Stop watching completely and demand higher quality. But it'll never happen because there's always someone else who's willing to put up with what they're doing.

McDonalds is only more popular because anyone can go in at any time, no matter where it's located. You can't just make unlimited amounts of food, so the distribution of such meals is not limited by demand but supply. If you actually compare the business ONE high quality restaurant makes compared to ONE local McDonalds, the restaurant wins every time. So technically it is more popular.
