Why does everyone hate Goldberg? He saved us from even more years of people pretending "le heckin' technical master" Butt The Shitman Fart was actually worth watching.

I'll never forget that one time when he tried to spear Chyna, but it was like hitting a brick wall and she just looked down at him afterwards like "wtf"

Protective in-groups don't take kindly to new, younger guys getting fast-tracked to the top, especially if there's money and groupies involved. They start talking about paying dues, which usually means knowing your place in the hierarchy for a few years to a decade, while everyone gets used to you, and gets their money first. Once you've done that, you can shoot break people's necks and be more or less forgiven. See DLo, Ridge Holland, Hangman Paige. Funny how people work, huh.

He was some years too early. If he debuted in ROH during the shooterman era everyone would have gone wild for his no selling and just kicking people in the head and shit
>>
>>20682133
and you wouldn't? you build a career as a wrestling great and they bring in this guy to shit all over your gimmick

WCW had Alundra Blaze throw the fucking women's belt in the trash on live TV. Mocking each other was fair game. It's a fucking work. It's fake. He needs to relax.

They did go wild in 98. You might be right about roh, but wasn't everyone doing that then? Might've been harder to stand out, rather than when almost nobody was doing it.
>>

This, too. Difference was, back then fanboyism wasn't as dangerously mentally ill. The superfans back then were mostly harmless, now they're trying to kidnap women and get people fired.

>Drew, that's BULLLLLLLLSHIT!
>>
>>20682256
There have always been fans like that, in all fandoms. Thing is, before the internet and social media they were very limited in what they could do. Now they're free to let their mental illness run wild and reinforce it in online hugbox echo chambers of like minded schizos
