Let's get serious. This is probably Cody at his happiest. He never has to turn heel, he never has to change his character in any way. The Cena booking he's getting is literally what he wanted back in the indies. He absolutely never wants to turn heel, and WWE is completely fine with that as well. They finally got their Cena 2.0. I'm sorta happy for the marriage between Trips and Cody.

no one would mind a Super Cody face gimmick if he was feuding with people who are interesting. Orton, Roman, Seth, any of those. Instead he's fucking around with mid-carders like Gunther and Islami Zayn. No matter how many times Gaytch tries to push them, Gunther will never be anything more than a foreigner heel mid-carder.
