Wrestling contracts are kinda wack when you think about it. I mean, if I told my boss I was going to miss a month or two because I signed a contract to film a few movies he would fire my ass, but in wrestling you can just sign with Hollywood and then return like nothing happened.

You have to remember that the wrestlers themselves don't just up and leave for Hollywood. The studios contact WWE beforehand to work it out.

It’s good cross promotion though. When they do the press tour their wrestling career is brought up and it makes the wrestler more well known so their value is increased when they come back.
Thoughbeit.

Does VKM still make cash out of Cena, Batista and Roman Reigns being casted in films? He used to get a big sum out of it since he and WWE owned the trademarks to their names, but he’s been away from WWE since 2023, so I’m assuming it’s less now
