AEW has no characters, no stories, and no history which makes it the most disposable wrestling promotion in history. People tuned in to WWF and WCW every because they had to know what was going to happen next. But with AEW you already know what's going to happen next: absolutely fucking nothing. You can stop watching AEW and pick it back up a year later without missing anything because not a single thing will have happened during that time. Or you can just stop watching it entirely, secure in the knowledge that you'll be missing nothing. AEW has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that wrestling really is about stories and characters. Although they proved it by omission.

There are incredibly basic things they can do to improve. Focus on a core group of guys who are featured every week, I think hangman sucks, but if he’s suppose to be a top guy who can’t disappear for months at a time. The guys they are pushing shouldn’t be having competitive matches with guys they aren’t pushing. That’s it. The matches and angles can can all still suck, but at least it won’t feel random.
