The belt Punk just won is the Universal Title, pulled out of thin air in 2016 with no legacy or history behind it. The Finn Balor KWAB belt.
The actual original WWF/WWE Title with the history going back to 1963 doesn't even exist anymore on TV. The 2 "World Titles" they use have no prestige or history behind them at all.

Wrong. If you want to get technical it's the Undisputed WWE Championship which merged the Universal Championship's lineage into the WWE Championship. The Universal title was dissolved with Reigns being recognized as its final owner and it otherwise carries on the same continued WWE Championship lineage
