Why can't wwe or aew just rip off his stories?
>>20783173Because wrestling is lowbrow entertainment
>>20783228Shakespeare was low brow too

>>20783173WWE makes way more money than King's Men ever did therefore WWE's stories are better than Shakespeare
You guys ever think about if AEW fans and WWE fans met on the battlefield, full armor, swords, crossbows, magic. Who would win?I think the E-Lords would win and retain control over the kingdom.
Romeo just hit Tybalt in the balls
>>20783277Idk, this is Othello. Just change a few things & its money.Seth Rollins is furious after Roman Reigns keeps Cody Rhodes by his side instead of him. >>20783173>Brutus heel turn
>>20783266>>Her father orders her to marry another superstar>cuck angles: still a thing even in the 1600s or whatever century that guy wrote stuff.
>>20783310So you admit, your army would lose. Kneel before the E-Lords and we shall spare your lives. Once your false god Tony Khan is drawn and quartered, /pw/ shall know peace.

>>20783173Because a wrestling story builds to a fight. The only Shakespeare play that does that is Macbeth and how many times have we already seen a heel champion cheat to get the title and then lose it to a chosen one white meat babyface?
>>20783173Hangman's lore is Shakespearean
>>20783508>Hamlet builds to a fight >Julius Caesar builds to a fight >Coriolanus builds to a fight >Antony and Cleopatra builds to a fight>basically every history play builds to a fight
>>20783526I mean like a one on one fight. Doesn't Caesar end with finding Brutus dead by suicide and declaring that he's a mensch?
>>20783511Is surviving aids Shakespearen?
>>20783526Came here to post Coriolanus. Not that bookers are consciously doing it, but we’ve seen version of the theme over and over again in wrestling. I would guess that’s the most common one. Just because of the heel/face turns that happen in wrestling over the course of a career. Even down to the motivations of the relationship between the wrestler and the fans.
Personally, I really like the idea of a full Don Giovani adaption in wrassling.complete with the dead commander returning as a statue and chokeslamming the heel into hell.
Big Japan has done this.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDW1se2pzk8They also did Romeo and Juliet, I think with Jun Kasai and Jaki Numazawa taking on the title roles.I appreciated the novalty, but they weren't their best shows.
>>20783289The average WWE fan is like 80, and the average AEW fan is 60.
>>20786239Here's the cage match page for Romeo and Juliet.https://www.cagematch.net/?id=1&nr=43691I think I have King lear but only saw clips from this show. I recall the mainevent being a poison matchg where Romeo and Juliet smashed glass bottles full of green liquid over each others heads.
Tony literally did the premise of this thread about 50 minutes ago if yall watched the product frens

>>20783173There's a lot of movies that could rip off and make a good story. I just watched all about eve last night and Eve was such a based fucking heel gimmick>inb4 toni and mariahNo if that was supposed to be an All About Eve angle, it was a really shitty attempt that missed all the nuances
The McMahons is quite literally Hamlet.
