Back then, everything was so much narrower so there was so much overlap (like, pre-cable we only had a few channels for watching stuff and no replay unless you taped it so when something big was on TV you watched it whether it was your thing or not because you didn't want to be out of the loop)It kinda shocks me how much things have changed.
