My friend and his dad saw that live at Nassau coliseum. My friend was either 10 or 11 years old at the time.
His dad never took him to another wrestling event again. It was their first. My friend says that there were water bottles that were thrown into the ring throughout the night and that either a a dlo slipped on a water bottle or B slipped on the water itself.
I still had vivid memories of me being 9 years old and being very close to finally turning 10 and seeing my friend come back from the show and talking to him the next day at the bus stop and that's all he would talk about is have the one guy got paralyzed.
Still to this day it's one of the things that I've heard the most about when it comes to stories that people I know like to tell.
I've talked to his dad about it as recently as the past year and I asked them what was your thought process going through the whole motion of everything that happened.
And he said I knew it was bad right away. Once you didn't get up, I knew that something was wrong. Once people started to get into the ring I was worried that he was dead. I knew it wasn't part of the show and I did everything to just distract anon from what had happened.

There is footage of it on YouTube. Filmed by a fan in the crowd. There was no water/water bottle. He just does his running powerbomb and doesn't have a good enough grip on Droz and drops him on his fucking head.

He has said he used to stick balled up wads of tape in his boots to prevent stuff like this and had forgotten to that night but I can't for the life of me even figure out what the fuck he means by that or how it would've prevented it.

Thats what he said. He didnt say that it was there in that moment he also could have misremembered that part seeing how he was 10 and watched a man get crippled. Maybe his dad told him he tripped on water or a bottle. I've known them all my life and this incident is why my parents wouldnt let me go to a wrestling event as a child.

I have drunken conversations with him where I have stated everything that you or the other anon described to him just for him to get belligerent and argue with me and swear by it. Then again hes just an angry drunk the older we get.
I think he misremembered that because either a he did or the people involved did as well as no video evidence to support the water bottle/slippery ring that he stated.
