>[NOAH] Champion Haste Confesses Why He Believes in OZAWA: “Every Person, by Being Trusted by Others...”

>NOAH GHC Heavyweight Champion Shane Haste (40) spoke about why he believes in OZAWA.

>Haste will face OZAWA in his V3 defense at the July 18 show at Intex Osaka. Ahead of that, he attended a press conference in Tokyo on the 16th. Early on, he was provoked by OZAWA, but Haste earnestly appealed to him: “Why do you keep using such dirty tactics? In the ring, you’re a wonderful wrestler. You’re full of talent and have nothing but potential. You even became champion at a young age. I want you to come to Osaka alone.” OZAWA, who then acted as if he had been moved to reform, responded, “I was touched! I finally felt like someone recognized me, and that made me happy. So this time, I’ll absolutely do it one-on-one, with no interference.”

>Needless to say, given OZAWA’s past, he hardly seems worthy of trust, but Haste immediately answered, “I believe him,” and the two pledged to fight hard. Afterward, speaking to the press, Haste said with emphasis, “I’m excited to think that, just like my previous title matches, we can have a fight that feels like NOAH. Maybe it could even become the best match inside me. Considering his potential, he should absolutely be capable of it.”

>But the question is why he can trust OZAWA that much. On that point, he said, “Every person can become a good person by being trusted by others. That’s why I want to believe in him.” Looking back on his own youth, he said he “did all kinds of crazy things,” while explaining that he was able to move forward by receiving the trust of those around him. Through this fight, he wants to help OZAWA become a good person.

>On the other hand, he added, “If he betrays that trust, then he’ll come to understand just how much he has done. In that case, I’ll probably become worse than him.” Has OZAWA truly reformed? Whether you believe it or not is up to you.

>[NOAH] Shane Haste Punishes OZAWA and Makes V3; Stares Down Naito Tetsuya: “Let’s Fight with the Belt on the Line”

>At NOAH’s July 18 Osaka show, GHC Heavyweight Champion Shane Haste (40) defeated “The Real Rebel” OZAWA and succeeded in his V3 defense.

>After the title match was decided, Haste had been shaken up by OZAWA in every possible way. At the press conference on the 16th, he tried to persuade him, saying, “Why do you keep using such dirty tactics? In the ring, you’re a wonderful wrestler.” The challenger then claimed he had changed his ways, saying, “Honestly, I was moved,” and “I’m absolutely going to do this one-on-one, with no interference,” while declaring that he would not use the “black teamwork” of TEAM 2000 X (T2KX), which he leads.

>True to those words, before the gong, the T2KX members withdrew from ringside on OZAWA’s orders. Then, when OZAWA offered a handshake, Haste accepted, and they proceeded to have a clean fight.

>But afterward, as if OZAWA’s dance were the signal, the T2KX members appeared at ringside. Haste ignored them and focused on the enemy in front of him, scoring a pin after a furious attack, but Yoshi-Tatsu distracted the referee and no count was made. When Haste turned his back while trying to protest, OZAWA blasted him with a crutch, then attacked with face-licking, biting, and the Big Ben Edge.

>But Haste, enraged by this betrayal, choked him with a sleeper over the ropes, then threw him down from there and hit the Bomb Valley Death. T2KX continued to interfere afterward, but this time KENTA and the others from Haste’s own White Raven Sqwad appeared to help and cleared out the enemy side.

>From there, Haste countered Real Rebel with a knee and went on the offensive. In the end, he connected with a short-range lariat, then the Dynamic Bomb, then the Bomb Valley Death to score the three-count.
>>
>>20834726
>Then, after the match, Naito Tetsuya appeared. Naito, who earlier that day had defeated Kiyomiya Kaito in a GHC Heavyweight Championship next challenger determination match, provoked him: “Today, I defeated Kiyomiya in a singles match. Next is the man holding Pro Wrestling NOAH’s top championship: Shane Haste. That’s you. I haven’t forgotten that I lost to you in the 2023 G1 Climax official league. For that revenge, and with that GHC Heavyweight title on the line, come play with me again.”

>Haste, using KENTA as interpreter, responded, “Today, you proved your ability. I am the champion. Let’s fight with this belt on the line,” and the two pledged to fight hard.

>Also, Eita defeated BUSHI to make his V2 defense of the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship. GHC Tag Team Champions Soya Manabu & Iino Yuki defeated Sugiura Takashi & Masa Kitamiya for their first defense. GHC Junior Tag Team Champions Dragon Bane & Alejandro defeated JACKY KAMEI & Riiita to succeed in their V4 defense.

>[AJPW] Ayabe Ren Opens Up About His “Fate” as a Two-Meter Monster Ahead of Stealing Miyahara Kento’s Triple Crown on July 25: “In a Way, It’s Sad”

>All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Ayabe Ren (29) spoke about the true meaning behind his “summer of despair” remark.

>Ayabe will challenge Miyahara Kento (37) for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship at the July 25 Kobe show. In a preview match at the July 19 Korakuen show, he teamed with Honda Ryuki to face Miyahara & Kumaarashi. Right from the start, he and Miyahara glared fiercely at each other. Ayabe suffered after taking repeated vicious headbutts from Miyahara, but he gave as good as he got, delivering a big boot to the face with his long legs.

>His signature Iron Maiden, a chickenwing-style dragon sleeper, was cut off by Kumaarashi, and his Death Roulette, a spinning Last Shooting, was also rolled through, but in the end he sank Miyahara with a powerful dragon suplex.

>Having built momentum toward taking the belt with a surprise dragon suplex, Ayabe explained, “I already had plenty of confidence in its power. I wanted to make him understand with his body.” He struck back at Miyahara, who had boasted that he had “fully read” his moves.
>>
>>20844290
>Ayabe has warned that “it will be a summer of despair,” but when asked about the true meaning of that statement, he explained that the “despair” is from the audience’s point of view: “When it’s a structure where a small human being is going up against a monster, people cheer for the human, don’t they? But I’m simply going to show them reality. They have to accept that reality.”

>He likens himself, at 200 centimeters tall, to a “monster,” but said matter-of-factly, “It’s not like I was trying to get huge. I just ate, trained, and lived my life, and I kept turning more and more into a monster.” On the other hand, he also seemed to shrink his extraordinary body as he said, “I was born carrying the fate of being on the side that doesn’t get cheered. In a way, that’s sad.”

>The “sad monster,” with his title match approaching, declared, “Taking the belt is a given, and as the frontline figure of the size that is All Japan’s defining trait, I’ll overturn the impression that All Japan’s central pillar is Miyahara Kento.” He gave a fearless smile and disappeared into the locker room, saying, “I’ll wrap the venue in despair.”

>[DRAGONGATE] Kzy Defeats Kikuta Madoka to Win the Dream Gate Championship for the First Time! “Even Someone Like Me Can Become the Main Character”

>In DRAGONGATE’s Open the Dream Gate Championship match on the 20th, Kzy (40) defeated Kikuta Madoka (26) and became the 43rd champion.

>In his 20th year as a wrestler, he finally achieved his long-cherished dream. Kzy won the challenger decision match against El Cielo on the 2nd at Korakuen, earning his ticket to the top championship. This was, in fact, the eighth challenge of his career.

>The match became a battle of wills, with neither side giving an inch. The back-and-forth contest shifted after the 20-minute mark. Kzy took a modified driver, a lariat, and a hip attack in succession, and finally ate a rolling elbow, but kicked out. He hung on with a flash pin attempt, but was hit with another rolling lariat, and it seemed the match was over.

>However, Kzy raised his shoulder through sheer tenacity and refused to allow the three-count. As Kikuta went for a modified driver, Kzy succeeded in reversing while being carried, catching him in a triangle choke. With Kikuta groggy, Kzy smashed him with an elbow from behind, then finally landed two consecutive running elbow smashes to score the three-count and seize the crown.
>>
>>20847099
>After the match, Kzy took the mic and let his joy explode. He then said, “I’ve walked this road aiming for this thing. A lot has happened. There were things that crushed my heart, and there was a lot of bullshit too. Susumu-san, Horiguchi-san, the man you carried on your shoulders has now taken the Dream Gate. Natural Vibes, which started here, is still alive like this today,” expressing gratitude to the seniors with whom he launched the unit. Looking at the younger Natural Vibes members gathered in the ring, he said, “Even someone like me can become the main character. Next, it might be you.”

>Kzy further said, “I intend to be a champion who is also a challenger,” and nominated YAMATO, who has held the same title six times, as his opponent for his first defense. YAMATO, who entered the ring, accepted: “Are you okay with ending at zero defenses? I’m looking forward to it. The answer-checking for these 20 years is already over, but this is a retest. Let’s do it.”

Haste is strong enough to help propel Naito’s sloppy offense like the DDT off the ropes and Destino. If he literally carries Naito in these major spots, and lays in his strikes to offset shit like Naito’s weak kicks, this could be fine.

>Congratulations to Sawada on winning the Dream Gate title for the first time in his 20th year!

>You've finally reached the same level as YAMATO was at 3 years and 8 months into his career.

>However... I'm going to be blunt, but my honest opinion is that this completely reverses the position of the top title between him and Tanaka Ryoya, who set a new record in the Brave Gate title.

>[AJPW] Miyahara Kento Looks Back on the “Bitter Experiences” of His Kensuke Office Days: “The Despair Ayabe Talks About Is Lukewarm Compared to Mine”

>All Japan Pro Wrestling Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion Miyahara Kento (37) invoked his experiences from his Kensuke Office days to condemn the lukewarmness of the “despair” preached by next challenger Ayabe Ren (29).

>Miyahara is set for his V8 defense against Ayabe at the July 25 Kobe show. In preview matches, he has already lost twice, and Ayabe has repeatedly warned him, “I’ll show you despair.” But speaking to the press, Miyahara was breezy: “The two characters for despair aren’t in my dictionary.” Showing the superstar quality one would expect, he said, “My life is about searching for hope no matter what the situation.”

>But everyone’s life has hardships. For Miyahara, that was his time in Kensuke Office, where he spent seven years after entering in 2007. Looking back on his apprentice days as Sasaki Kensuke’s attendant, he said, “In my life, that place... Yoshikawa City, Saitama Prefecture—the location of Kensuke Office’s headquarters—may have been the place closest to despair. Kensuke-san is the person despair suits best. It’s because he was my master, but I was shown all kinds of despair,” he said, his knees trembling.
>>
>>20860479
>When the details were timidly asked, he offered an episode that might make one tilt their head a little: “At an inn in Kumamoto during a tour, even though lunch had already been prepared, I was told, ‘Go pick up delivery’ from a nearby ramen shop. That was despair. I was like, why does a wrestler have to carry piping-hot bowls...” He then furrowed his brow and said, “Even small pieces of despair become something big when you add them up. Isn’t the despair Ayabe talks about lukewarm compared to mine?”

>Even during that “period of despair,” Miyahara did not bend his convictions, and he blossomed into a central figure on the Royal Road mat. Precisely because he has drunk bitter waters, he feels obligated to win: “What entertainment in this era demands is hope. I’m the only one who can show that.” The champion, who gained momentum by directly defeating Ayabe in a preview match at the July 22 Shinkiba show, will shine in the ring.

>Chono Masahiro on the First Anniversary of Hulk Hogan’s Passing... The “Connection” He Felt with Inoki-san: “They’re Kind of Similar”

>“Black Charisma” Chono Masahiro (62) revealed an unknown “connection” between Hulk Hogan, who has reached the first anniversary of his passing, and the late Antonio Inoki.

>Hogan passed away from a heart attack at his home in Florida on July 24, 2025. Chono, who fought alongside Hogan in WCW in the United States and later launched nWo Japan, sweeping across Japan, spoke to the press one year later and looked back: “I remember hearing about it suddenly and being shocked.”

>As he reflected on Hogan’s career, what Chono emphasized was, surprisingly, the common ground he had with Inoki. Speaking about Hogan’s skill in business negotiations, he recalled, “Looking at it now, he was doing negotiations on a completely different scale in terms of money, and people around him would talk behind his back. But Inoki-san did that too.”

>“For example, Inoki-san wouldn’t appear on television unless the fee was higher than what top celebrities were getting. But because of that, we juniors could negotiate for one million yen for something that, to ordinary people, might have been 300,000 or 500,000 yen,” he revealed, explaining how Inoki had contributed to raising the standing of those who came after him.
>>
>>20873188
>He further shared a surprising episode: “When I was following information on Facebook, I saw that Hogan-san had opened a pro wrestling shop somewhere like Florida and was doing fan events. And Inoki-san was the same way. Around 1984 or 1985, when I entered the dojo, there was something like an Inoki-san fan club, and he would have tea with about 20 people at a family restaurant near the dojo. I was shocked, like, ‘Antonio Inoki does this kind of thing?’” He praised both men for never forgetting their gratitude toward the fans.

>Chono said quietly, “I don’t think Inoki-san and Hogan-san were consciously aware of each other in that way, but people who stood at the top are kind of similar.” He laughed and added, “They’re the same in having walked through picture-perfect scandals too.” The souls of these “superstars” who crossed the ocean will remain immortal forever.

>[AJPW] Miyahara Kento Wins Fierce Battle with Ayabe Ren for Triple Crown V8! Next Challenger Is Anzai Yuma: “A Worthy Opponent Has Appeared”

>At All Japan Pro Wrestling’s July 25 Kobe show, Miyahara Kento (37) turned back the challenge of Ayabe Ren (29) and succeeded in his V8 defense.

>Hope crushed despair. Miyahara collided head-on with the two-meter monster, and after a back-and-forth battle, seized the pace by hitting a piledriver on the apron. However, he struggled against Ayabe’s power fight, which made use of his great height, getting squeezed in the Iron Maiden and slammed down with a full nelson bomb. He hung on with Blackouts, but after a dropkick, a running elbow, and then a dragon suplex, he was thrown into major danger.

>Even so, he would not let Ayabe hit the Death Roulette, a spinning Last Shooting. Although Ayabe escaped the Shutdown Suplex, Miyahara struck with a Blackout and turned the match around all at once. Against Ayabe, who kept hanging on with a low dropkick, Miyahara finally landed the Shutdown Suplex Hold cleanly and took the three-count.

>After the match, Miyahara took the mic and praised him: “Ayabe Ren, you are an incredible wrestler.” Ayabe also vowed revenge: “I’m still only at the beginning of my evolution. Next time, I’ll show you an even further evolved Ayabe Ren.”
>>
>>20873810
>Then Miyahara deliberately provoked the crowd again: “Is it okay if Superstar Miyahara Kento’s summer ends today? Maybe I’ll just end it here...” He then answered himself: “What? In this midsummer heat, you still want to see a Superstar Miyahara Kento Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship match?” and announced his V9 defense for the August 29 Ota Ward show.

>The man who appeared in the ring there was Anzai Yuma, the nobleman whose popularity is now rising with unstoppable momentum. He declared his challenge: “Right now, All Japan Pro Wrestling has momentum, and at the center of it is the champion, Miyahara Kento... no, it’s me, Anzai Yuma. In that case, the next challenger can only be me. I, the man with the most momentum in the pro wrestling world right now, will put that belt around my waist and take All Japan Pro Wrestling even higher.”

>Miyahara welcomed him: “On August 29 in Tokyo’s Ota Ward, I intend to have the hottest summer in Japan, in this pro wrestling world. A worthy opponent has appeared.” He responded, “I’ll give you the hottest fight in the pro wrestling world, the sports world, and the entertainment world,” making their first clash since last December’s Yoyogi show all but certain.

aside the announcements for WPP the two title matches were alright for what they were trying to do. still find okatani's extreme title not entertaining, the outcome of this match was obvious. for the white tag belts harashima impress me as always.
for the main event I don't think they would go for a direct pin. but not sure how to feel about main event mao, the pacing of the match went to a strange point that reminded me the match he had vs sumi during KOD

>[ZERO1] Nakajima Katsuhiko Laments the Fire Festival as “Lukewarm” and “Without Dreams,” Declares He Will Win: “I’ll Erase the Existence Known as Tanaka Masato”

>Nakajima Katsuhiko (38) voiced criticism toward the reborn ZERO1, where he is currently competing.

>Nakajima, who sits alone atop B Block in the singles league tournament “Fire Festival,” defeated Sato Tsugutaka at the July 26 Urayasu show and secured his place in the championship final on August 7 at Tokyo’s Korakuen Hall.

>Speaking to the press, Nakajima took a jab at the promotion’s current state: “From the perspective of someone like me, who knows at least some of ZERO1’s history, recent ZERO1 feels a little lukewarm.” He pointed out that the “heat” of ZERO1, which he had felt up close since his trainee days, has disappeared.

>It has been decided that he will face Tanaka Masato in the championship final, but Nakajima vented his dissatisfaction: “When my opponent was decided as Tanaka, I honestly thought, ‘That’s not it.’ The young guys should be coming forward.” He lamented the current situation: “Whose names do you know in today’s ZERO1? I only knew Hayabusa and Tanaka Masato. That’s the reality.” Toward the younger wrestlers, he also showed anger: “They have no ambition. We’re in the business of selling dreams, so what are they doing if they don’t have dreams themselves?”

>On top of that, he made a strange, fiery declaration: “I’ll erase the existence known as Tanaka Masato.” He continued, “It would be better to create an opportunity to change the current situation, right? I’ve already made it to the final. There’s only one thing left to do,” forecasting his conquest of the Fire Festival. The man who inherits “no creation without destruction” will snatch away the Fire Festival sword.

if /njpw/ is niche /puro/ is even worse, and the only enjoyable thing of /njpw/ are the game threads.
its nice when people share thoughts on shows and i read review posts even if i don't watch every promo (like ajpw) but i think is enough for me. /puro/ is a middle ground between elitist guy who only watches shows before 2015-10, because modern wrestling suck and people not giving a fuck and posting whatever (even homo shit, picrel is not related)

I can't talk about anything this month because I've almost exclusively been watching stuff from the BJW Core archives before it gets shut down and rolled into the YouTube service.

YouTube's layout was not constructed with navigating a large archive of videos (a wrestling promotion will generate FAR more content than even the most active YouTube users) and the YouTube service lacks a lot of the stuff on BJW Core.

I started a project this year where I'm ripping the matches I like to place in my own personal archive so I've been trying to identify as much stuff as I want from BJW Core before it goes poof.

I've watched slightly over 300 BJW matches since late June and my brain is feeling kinda fried.

I feel like unlike the /njpw/ or other promotion specific threads, the /puro/ thread has the disadvantage that not everybody watches the same.
Some anons might watch most of the puro whille others exclusively watch NOAH, AJPW or DG and therefore only talks about those promotions.
>>
>>20906891
It's totally fine, not against anything as long as people are not being annoying.
I'm one of those anons who started late (mid 30s) watching puro or any kind of japanese wrestling so im might be biased on more recent stuff but i like old stuff the same
And to be fair most of the interesting discussions around puro, or any promotion, it's always on the japanese side for obvious reasons, and can't even be mad since there is language barrier, so most of folks focus on rating matches

>[AJPW] Anzai Yuma Has a Clear Path to Capturing the Triple Crown! “I’ll show you an even cooler side of the world’s coolest man.”

>A preview match for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship was held at All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Tachikawa show on the 2nd, and challenger Anzai Yuma (27) voiced confidence about defeating champion Miyahara Kento.

>Anzai, who will challenge for the Triple Crown at the August 29 EBARA WAVE Arena Ota show in Tokyo, teamed with Ayabe Ren on this day to face Miyahara & Honda Ryuki. When the two started the match, they immediately went at each other fiercely, sending screams and cheers echoing through the venue. Neither man gave an inch, both inside the ring and out on the floor, as they waged a heated battle: Anzai slammed the champion into the ring post, while Miyahara fired back with a headbutt.

>Then, in the closing stages, Anzai landed two jumping knees in a row and succeeded in stopping Miyahara’s movement. Ayabe lost the match to Honda, but afterward, when Anzai took the microphone, he wore a fearless smile and said, “Hey! Miyahara Kento. August 29, the Triple Crown match — I’m looking forward to it.” Watching Miyahara leave with his arm over a second’s shoulder, Anzai said, “My momentum right now doesn’t know how to stop until the Triple Crown match, and it’s only going to grow even stronger. I’m going to devour Miyahara Kento. August 29, be ready! I’ll show you an even cooler side of the world’s coolest man, Anzai Yuma.” He was showered with cheers.

>[AJPW] Triple Crown Champion Miyahara Kento Frames His V9 Defense Against Anzai Yuma as “Heisei vs Reiwa”: “I’ll show the strength of someone who grew up being harassed!”

>Can he resist the winds of the times? All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion Miyahara Kento (37) spoke of his resolve for his V9 defense against Anzai Yuma (27) on the 29th at EBARA WAVE Arena Ota in Tokyo.

>At the Tachikawa show on the 2nd, Miyahara collided with Anzai in a tag match. From the opening stages, they fought fiercely inside and outside the ring, but in the closing stretch, Miyahara took two consecutive jumping knees from Anzai to the jaw. Although his partner Honda Ryuki defeated Ayabe Ren to win the match, Miyahara himself suffered the humiliation of leaving with his arm over a second’s shoulder.

>In response, Miyahara grimaced in pain, saying, “My jaw... my jaw...” Looking ahead to the next preview match at Korakuen Hall on the 9th, he muttered, “There, I’ll pay him back for my jaw...” Afterward, the champion gave an interview while icing the area, framing this title match as “a battle against the ‘wind of the times’ known as Anzai Yuma.”
>>
>>20936038
>As his reason, he said, “In the ring, of course, but outside it as well, he draws attention in a way that truly makes him worthy of being called the representative Reiwa wrestler.” Frankly acknowledging Anzai’s ability and the popularity that exploded through his appearance on a romance reality show, Miyahara stressed, “I was born in the first year of Heisei. This is a battle of ‘Heisei vs Reiwa.’ I think the perfect situation has been set.”

>On top of that, he said, “I think every company has young wrestlers like that, like super rookies. I want to fight and show people of my generation who are facing those kinds of young wrestlers that I can win.” Then, flexing his arm, he added with an anachronistic burst of enthusiasm, “I’m from the last generation that grew up being harassed. And he is from a generation that grew up without experiencing any of that at all. I’ll show the strength of someone who grew up being harassed!”

>Heisei pride, or the Reiwa star? Which one will be smiling in the end?

>SSW DRAGONGATE GRAND FINALE: Homare would kick out of the SSW, would endure Shun’s multiple bicycle kicks, would fight with all the spirit he could muster against his mentor & idol; in the end, Shun would hit another SSW before finishing Homare off with the Moonsault. Shun would thank Homare and would thank DRAGONGATE before letting out one final scream, as Shun returns/ascends to the “heavens”.

>Uhaa Nation is set to return to DG on September 12 in Ebara Wave

>Ryu Fuda would call out Ryoya Tanaka (after Fuda got the pin in a 10Man Tag), saying he wished to challenge him again for the Brave Gate. Tanaka would say that he doesn’t give out title matches to someone who got a pin in a random 10Man and said he already has a challenger in mind for V13: Dragon Kid (who Tanaka had already mentioned as challenger backstage at Kobe World). GM Saito would come out and make Tanaka vs DK official for 9.12, also saying that Fuda would have to earn a future Title match.

You know he's going to be motivated after ten+ years of nothing in WWE. He had so much buzz going in too. I'll never understand why he was moved up to the main roster from NXT so fast there was a lot more for him to do down there. From a development standpoint (like promos) but also from a storyline standpoint, like winning the title. I think Vince brought him up out of spite when he found out how short he is.

>[Dragongate] Dragon Kid Aims for His First Title Reign in 7 Years and 6 Months... Challenges Brave Champion Tanaka Ryoya: “I’ll stop your consecutive-defense record.”

>At Dragongate’s Korakuen Hall show on the 4th, it was decided that Dragon Kid will challenge Open the Brave Gate Champion Tanaka Ryoya (27) in his V13 defense on September 12 at Ota Ward.

>Champion Tanaka defeated Homare at the Kobe show in July, recording an unprecedented V12. First, Fuda, who won the 10-man tag match held on this day — Ultimo Dragon, Yoshioka Yuki, Minoura Kota, Punch Tominaga, & Fuda Ryu vs Mochizuki Masaaki, Don Fujii, Horiguchi Genki, Takashi, & Mondai Ryu — declared his challenge. However, Tanaka rejected it and instead nominated his own challenger, saying, “I’ve already decided my next challenger. Dragon Kid-san, please come out.”

>Kid appeared in the ring and muttered, “This is awkward...” in front of the fired-up Fuda. Even so, he showed his resolve, saying, “I was planning to challenge too. I’ll stop your consecutive-defense record.” Fuda continued to appeal directly for a challenge, but by the judgment of GM Saito Ryo, Kid’s challenge was given priority, and the September 12 Ota Ward show was designated as the site of the showdown.

>If Kid captures the Brave title, it will be his fifth reign and his first since March 2019, an achievement coming after 7 years and 6 months. A clash between Tanaka, who is carving out a new era, and a symbol of both past and present has now been realized.

East Asia in general is far more accepting and not as divisive on AI usage. The Kyushu Pro Anniversary show recently used AI to animate a hype video, and got applause from the crowd. I will give credit though, they did good on the prompts.

I the promotions who care less about suing AI are the one with the male fanbase while places that have a lot of female fans will notice and bring up the issue (since a lot of women are artists/hobbyist in general, more than men)
My question was mostly done because I know DG is followed by a lot of women.

It's not just the logo. The guy who did their theme also confirmed on twitter that it (at least the demo for the theme) was made with AI until vocals are recorded.

>Actually, this was a demo vocal track by AI.
>The lyrics and arrangement were still temporary.
>We'll record the vocals later.
>The supernova will wave the flag~ is a good hook, I think

idk, to me it just feels very hollow (from unit name, to unit logo and now to the theme itself) compared to units like Mad Blankey with YO-HEI doing a kino theme and one of the members designing the logo for the unit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wz5xWLKw0jk

or MaxiMuM, simple logo but they collab with a 21g for an amazing theme https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYxhzMIDSG0

Especially with XenisS also being announced, they just feel very samey. DG should just stay away from AI it seems their office/art/music people don't get how to use it effectively

I'm the anon who made the question. I'm aware that not all the promotions, especially indies, can have a paid staff that can work on art/music etc it's a pity that not many promotions try to hire designers or artist to consistently works for them, even just to give a distinct and personal style (AI might be "free" but shit feel so impersonal IMO), And that in stark contrast to individual wrestlers who commission with their own money merch design/posters etc to artists, like Wakaba Artworks or HakoFac (the first who comes into mind)

Dragon Gate has slowly been becoming more and more dimeless in this sector ever since they change their logo to imitate the Lion Mark and got cheaper looking belts. This was a forgone conclusion.

which is strange because I feel like wrestler wise they're on a great track. Especially with the young guys taking over.
But they're graphics department is completely shitting the bed. Maybe because it's filled with old shitters
