Did he really destroy TNA or is that just revisionist history?
tna was already on the decline by the time he got there. he was their only real draw
>>20882686Realistically yeah but also tna was always flawed and retarded swerve booking was already hard to watch even during the peak
>>20882686Fuck you
They did 2.2 million viewers going head to head against WWE with Hogan, they considered that a failure for some reason. It wasn't Hogan that killed TNA it was the retarded booking that came with it. That same night they brought back Scott Hall and Syxx, the Nasty Boys, Val Venus, Orlando Jordan, and the show began with a retarded red oval cage match where you had to crawl up through a tiny hole in the center, which none of the wrestlers could reach so they just ended the match.
the moneymark destroyed tna; hogan's crew just broke her piggy bank
>>20882686no thats made up by British TNA marks who thought a six sided ring and calling your company Tits'n'Ass was a good idea
>>20882686I stopped watching TNA Impact and Raw in 2008, quitting wrestling entirely for almost 15 years. Pretty sure many other people were the same, so his arrival was irrelevant as far as that is concerned.
>>20882686>consensus at the time of event is revisionistI will say, if he was 16 years younger, and his WCW hadn't happened, the run would've been much bigger.
>>20882686All history after 1960 is revisionist history bullshit. The Dark Side of the Ring bullshit was just a damn promo from Jeff Jarrett because he's in AEW now. It didn't work, nothing will work, just like trying to make TNA a success. Too much stink on AEW and TNA. It's got no where to go but down or hang on bottom feeding off autists
>>20886564that part (all of it). DSOTR is such obvious AEW propaganda. I'll give them some props for not totally burying necro butcher like i thought they would, but their most recent episode was clearly meant to hype samoa joe and not much else.
>>20882686There was always LOLTNA from the start, people will selectively pick Angle/Joe feud and certain AJ Styles and X-Division matches.
>>20882686Hulk's dead and the others aren't. He's getting the blame from the carnies still alive
Jeff Jarrett (and to be fair Tony Khan) both knew, even if they never said it openly, that they were never going to dethrone the WWE as #1 wrestling fed, and they just wanted to be a strong #2 company. Bischoff was deluded enough to think that you could defeat 60 years of building and access to every relevant media market in the country with Orlando Jordan vs Chris Harris.
TNA destroyed TNA. they didnt even try to control Hogan. they should have thrown a bunch of money at him, like they did, but said fuck Bischoff and used Hogan strictly as talent with creative control only over his own storyline. and only use him in one story at a time instead of every story on the show
>>20886564>Too much stink on AEW and TNA. It's got no where to go but downsame with wwe. the only thing they have going for them is their history that was actually good and then having a decade where they were they only show on tv so they brainwashed a generation into thinking they are wrestling
>>20882729No it wasn't.2009 was TNA's best year and Hogan completely destroys it the following year
>>20882686No, but Hogan is an evil man according to marks with access to soap box speech space. And they said he destroyed it. So it is true because they wrote the narrative and nobody is there (/ourpeople/) to contest it.
>>20882686>Hire Hulk Hogan>He acts like Hulk HoganI feel bad for some of the normal wrestlers who were just doing their jobs, but Jarrett and the rest of management? Fuck off you knew what you were getting into.
>>20883372In retrospect they should have kept going with it, it was just the people they were booking that was dragging them down.
>>20882686Hogan didn't.Bischoff did.Hogan was Bischoff's ticket to TNA, the big changes that fucked everything up were Bischoff's ideas. If Bischoff hadn't been allowed to worm his way from Hulk's aide to creative consultant to unofficial producer, Hulk coming in would have bumped numbers a little then been the TNA equivalent of the Jericho Vortex (which was never actually a bad thing anyway). Bischoff didn't kill WCW but he did kill TNA.
