Yuuki Minami is coming back - and she's chosen a brand new home to do it in.The gravure model and idol-turned-wrestler will make her return at PURE-J Women's Pro-Wrestling's 9th Anniversary show at Korakuen Hall on 11th August, ending a lengthy absence caused by a severe ACL tear. Her road back was anything but straightforward. Faced with a choice between reconstruction surgery and PRP regenerative therapy, she took the costlier but faster route, and it paid off.The move to PURE-J didn't happen overnight either. Having debuted through an Ice Ribbon film project before joining Marigold in August 2024, she spent her time on the sidelines doing a lot of thinking: "Should I make my return with Marigold, or choose a slightly different path? Looking at my life from a long-term perspective, I decided that I wanted to do things in a different place," she revealed to Battle-News.Her path to PURE-J came naturally - attending shows to watch former colleague Ryoko Sakimura compete, then joining their wrestling classes as part of her rehabilitation until the opportunity presented itself. Her return match partners her with Sakimura against PURE-J rookies Jenne and Mia and she's already framing it as an invasion of sorts: "Since Ryoko-san and I also belong to the idol group 'CLIPCLIP,' it's almost like we're going in to take over PURE-J." On what she brings to the ring: "My biggest strength is that I wrestle with an incredible amount of energy, above all else. I might not be super athletic, but I have guts and a spirit that never gives up. I want to be a wrestler who gives people energy."
