Oh, brother, these dudes fucking suck
>>
>>20887566
Bullet Club at home, with the sad part being it was actually the real Bullet Club.
>>
They thought that wack ass hardcore match they did in NJPW was good enough to try again.
Worse match of the night.
>>
>>20887566
The worst part is that a 4 legit still feels too generous. That match was AWFUL. Lousy on a good night. But for it to be a ppv match? Get the fuck out of here charging anyone to watch that shit. Worst ppv match of the year by far
>>
>>20887677
I'm a New Japan guy who tunes in occasionally because, although I don't care much for AEW, if the companies are going to be partners, I kinda need to make peace with thaat.
A big part of the problem was the marathon match booked just before it. 25 minutes is way too long for the third match on a card. It wasn't a bad match by any stretch, just really poorly placed on the card. You take the burnout from that match and couple it with these guys playing with dinky chains and, yeah, I was close to tapping out on the show entirely.
I ended up lasting through Cope and Christian vs Claudio and Pac. I'll never shit on other people's entertainment when it comes to wrestling so if people enjoy this more power to them but every time I tune in I remember why it's not for me. I guess I just prefer wrestling that's a bit more low-key that I can leave on in the background unless something interesting is happening, sort of like normal sports.
>>
it was tame as fuck, you can’t do a chain match with no blood and hardcore shit.
>>
>>20887566
Dogs with a dog's breakfast of a match. I do like the look of the Dogs and I especially think Connors can go, but this shit ain't it. Maybe they could try them out in singles.
>>
>>20887566
Honestly it felt like they chose to call it in the ring when they really shouldn't have called it in the ring. Seeing them trip over the chains was cringe.
>>
>>20887566
The dogs legit have to be one of the worst hirings AEW has done in a long while, we're talking like 2021 vibes of just hiring anyone. They are fucking terrible
>>
The worst part is The Dogs winning means that Tony clearly has more plans for them despite being dog water in the ring.
>>
>>20887819
Wait, Tony had Switchy lose on his first match back? Damn does he get off on burying him for some reason?
>>
>>20887739
Dogs board, p'Edophile faggot
>>
>>20887838
Tony wanks dogs
>>
>>20887831
My personal theory is that Jay was tight with Punk and took his side when shit went down. He was getting a giant push while Punk was running Collision, then after Brawl-Out he started getting buried.
Wouldn't be surprised if he jumps ship once his contract is finally up.
>>
>>20887838
Only dog we give a shit about here is the Based Badass Bron Breakker.
>>
>>20887610
Bullet Club should have been taken outback and euthanized after AJ Styles left, it had a decent run with Kenny on top, and it has been downhill ever since.
>>
You can't do a match like this without a hot feud behind it

This feud is about as lukewarm as yesterday's chowder, and Tony didn't give it any time, or momentum either. He tacked it on to the B-tier PPV that splits time after Forbidden Door, just so there would never be enough time to get the fans into the story.
Dumb idea to do a chain match, should only be done if you have fans invested already. If the fans don't care about the feud, they sure as fuck aren't going to care about the match.
>>
>>20887701
>A big part of the problem was the marathon match booked just before it.
I'll give you that's happened before. Look at Revolution 2025. You had Kenny and Takeshita, the Ospreay and Fletcher cage match, and the Toni/Mariah Hollywood Ending all back to back to back. By the time they got to the Copester/Mox main event the crowd was just out of gas. That said that wasn't the case last night. The crowd was just completely disinterested. They didn't even pop for any of the big interference spots. They were also pretty apathetic to some of the other matches around the middle of the show. It wasn't that they had nothing left. The matches you're referring to was only the opening hour. They just didn't give a shit. And truth be told they had no reason to. It was never a match that should have been booked on a ppv in the first place and not only did it sound shitty on paper but the actual match itself just was not good at all
>>
>>20887838
WWE didn't want Fit Finlay's dimeless son on their programming, unless he agreed to be trained in their wrestling school, after this, it's understandable why.
>>
When Jay left NJPW he looked like he was going to conquer the world. Now he lost all of his muscle mass and just shrieks catch phrases. Yeah, he was out for over a year but before that he was getting choked out by women. I don’t know if it’s NJPW just knowing how to present him, Tony having no idea how, himself or a combination of all three.
>>
>>20887860
Tony just runs very long PPVs, Redemption was 5 hours, and it's not even a major AEW PPV, people will get tired and disinterested, they have work on Monday, and just by sheer length a few stinkers that kill the crowd even earlier might make their way in as PPV matches, just like this one, it's not even a Collision worthy match.
>>
>>20887860
You're probably right, I'm mostly just speaking for myself.
Like I said, I had to tap out and turn it off. Since I paid $40 for it I'll probably finish the rest of the show after that tag match over the next few days.
I really don't mean to trash anything. I can see why people enjoy AEW and wish I could too. But I think I'm at a point in my life where I just prefer things to be more low-key and Japanese stuff scratches that itch better for me.
>>
>>20887882
you're retarded, he was finally being booked well right before being injured

he beat hangman and moxley clean in rapid succession then got hurt

Wow such great booking
>>
>>20887931
Yeah, that's a really strong and prominently featured run that was clearly building to something
>>
>>20887892
>>20887942
MAID
>>
>>20887942
You're just speculating though. Because it didn't.
>>
>>20887942
And what is that exactly? Feuding with Moxley's stable that killed everyone who worked with it?
>>
not going to reply to an obvious retarded console warrior, only interested in actual discussion sorry
>>
>>20887892
He beat Moxley once and then immediately lost to him a week later and then lost to him in tag matches four fucking times. Know what you’re talking about before you post you faggot.
>>
>>20887966
He always got the better of him in those matches and they were all lost through Death Riders hijinks because Tony had them cheat to win constantly for like an entire year and then never booked a proper conclusion to their angle

But sure man beating Hangman back to back on PPVs clean means nothing, he was clearly not being pushed
>>
Jay White is going to go to WWE someday and be very good for them.
>>
>>20887965
>a bunch of people calling me out on my stupid talking point is just one enraged console warrior!
Look man. I'll be nice about this. If you can't stand the heat, don't put your dick in the fire. Playing games instead of backing up your argument isn't helping you save face.
>>
>>20887988
He'll accept the Miz feud now

>a bunch of people
>>
He's been absolute cursed in AEW. It would probably be best for both if he moved on.
>>
>>20888002
You can believe what you want, it doesn't change facts.
This is why no one takes you trannies seriously. You act like you want serious discussion, people give you their thoughts, then you play little kid games to avoid addressing valid criticisms.
Weak bro.
>>
>that time he got the shit kicked out of him by billy gunn
>constant injuries
>some of the worst matches in company history
>the jew promo that got the company in trouble

I want to say he deserves better, because he does, but at the same time its just been cursed as a whole.
>>
>>20887566
whew, thank god he didnt have to feud with the miz
>>
>>20887988
One of the very few NJPW guys who went to AEW who would actually be a mega star in WWE, he is a good wrestler and a great talker. The other wrestler who I believe would have been huge in WWE is Okada, other than that, I don't think most of the rest would work in WWE.
>>
>>20888026
>constant injuries
He's had one injury his entire career
>>
>>20887566
That match is probably the most annoyed I've been during an AEW PPV since that Jericho vs Adam Cole from long ago and atleast that had the benefit of a surprise Sabu appearance to jump start the match.
I wanted to give them a lot of leeway going into it. It was an obvious cooldown match with a mid build at best and if they just went through the motions and got through it, I'd be happy to just forget about it. But it was just rotten from beginning to end. It's definitely in the 1 star match range and if we're being honest it's on the lower end of them.
>>
>>20887566
What kind of name is bang bang gang.
>>
>>20887566
They're the new Gallows and Anderson: not actually good but we're Western guys in NJPW when it was popular so they get signed.
>>
>>20888644
It's one letter removed from "gang bang gang" and that tells me everything I need to know about AEW.
>>
>>20887566
I'm sad for the Gunns and Juice, those guys really could have used some reps at the PC and now they'll be 40 and taught wrong on purpose before WWE gives 'em a MCMG like fart run in the main.
>>
>>20887566
>AEW fans gave an AEW match a bad rating
Holy shit it must be the worst match of all time. I didn't watch it of course. What went wrong?
>>
>>20888801
A bunch of mediocre wrestlers were given one of the worst gimmicks for a match.
>>
David Finlay should've joined his brother in Birthright. Jay White should be feuding with Miz.
>>
>>20887566
Bloodless dog collar match. Waste of a gimmick.
>>
>>20888801
Overpromised a brutal match and underdelivered. Dog collar matches only work when things go bugnuts insane and otherwise, it is just a tethered torando tag.
>>
>>20887882
The MJF match destroyed him, probably the biggest burial in AEW history
>>
>>20889045
There's no coming back from that, really. They were both the same kind of chickenshit heel, and Jay did it way better. But having MJF go over him the way he did basically meant Jay had to fall back on something else.

Not even the biggest Jay White burial in AEW
>>
>>20889045
Tony and AEW's worst year, that they still haven't recovered from. All I can think is Tony was sperging out and losing his mind over losing Cody and Punk slipping away. It broke his brain.
>>
i knew jay white was too much of a busy to do anything interesting in any kind of stip match but i thought juice would go hard
>>

Dogshit troll bait
>>
>My company really needs njpw lower carders and,40 year old WWE guys
Tony Khan
>>
>>20889578
Starting to think NJPW intentionally pushed David Finley as a prank on Tony because they knew he'd hire the shitter
